Sidewalk is the iPhone companion for Sidewalk on Mac — a step counter built for the way you already work with AI. When you run Claude Code or Cursor on your Mac, Sidewalk nudges you to get up and walk. Your iPhone tracks real steps with Apple Motion, syncs them to your Mac over your home network, and tells you the moment your agent needs you — or when it's done. No extra workout block. No staring at a spinner. Just short walks while the work keeps moving. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install Sidewalk on your Mac and connect your agent (Claude Code or Cursor). 2. Pair your iPhone by scanning the QR code in the Mac app. 3. Start an agent run — Sidewalk cues you to walk. 4. Come back when you're needed. Sidewalk alerts you on your phone and Mac. REQUIREMENTS • Sidewalk for Mac (required — this app is the phone companion, not a standalone product). • iPhone and Mac on the same Wi‑Fi network for pairing and sync. • Motion & Fitness permission so Sidewalk can count your steps. • Microphone / dictation (optional) for capture while walking.
