Good app, but drains the battery
The app is quite good and easy to use. I have only a small and a big issue with it, hence the 3 stars:
- it only works in portrait mode on the 12,9” iPad Pro, which makes it a bit cumbersome with the folio cover. The piano keyboard would also benefit from a landscape mode.
- the bigger issue is that it constantly runs in the background, depleting the battery in 1-1.5 days when the iPad is not used.

Updates missing!
Good app. but not a single update in years. Doesn’t emulate 6510 Sid chip.
I retract my criticism.
It does appear to be feature complete. Good job.

Love this, everything is done right. Great UI, great emulation, great export options.
Great app, but needs landscape display
This app succeeds at providing authentic C64 sounds and also provides a streamlined creation experience.
I have one major complaint: the app does not display horizontally / landscape mode on iPad Pro 12.9 inch displays. This makes composition on the touch screen impossible as you end up sliding the app window off screen or dragging the app bar or other windows over the already small piano keys.
To the developer: PLEASE add landscape display as soon as possible.
I ordered a $100+ midi keyboard to work around this.

Landscape View Support for 12.9 Pro away from perfect
It needs to support landscape view.
Horizontal mode required for 12.9"
SidTracker64 is great. On 10.5" it works horizontally (OK), but on 12.9" it work only vertically. Can I request an update to correct this, to tracker work horizontally also on 12.9"? Thank you in advance. Kind regards.

Stunning app for Chiptunes and Synth textures
I am really impressed by this App, sound is very, very close to the SID chip sound of the Commodore 64, and very similar to to the 80s arcade sound.
As a veteran synth-head, I am impressed by this as a Synthesizer, its very powerful! If you are after this kind of sound, even high end synths won't be able to emulate the SID sound- its unique.
As well as chiptune stuff, this also is great for making warm, analog sounding bass and lead sounds.
I don't use the tracker part of the app, I'm sure it is good, I just prefer to use the app as a sound module or sample it. Having said that, some of the demos that use the tracker are very impressive and inspiring!

Fantastic music app
By far The Best SID tracker on iPad. May very well also be the only SID tracker on iPad, but that’s irrelevant - you don’t need anything else.

Good but has a few flaws
I wanted a way to write a tune for my C64. This looked like a good option, so I purchased it.
I’ve never really got along with tracker software in the 80s and 90s, so it took me a while to get used to it.
It’s quite a complex app, and there is a lot to learn.
The UI misses many opportunities to make things quicker and easier, such as when moving a single note.
Many of the controls are very fiddly and frustrating to use.
The worst bit is that the white keys on the piano keyboard often fail to respond.
We’ve tried two different iPads - a mini 2 and a mini 4.
Maybe it’s an iPadOS issue with it being near the bottom of the screen, in the area where you can swipe up.
Whatever the problem, it makes it hard to play reliably.
I wish the keyboard could be made larger and in the middle of the screen, for the times when you’re playing live.
I went to the website looking for support but there’s only a screen shot and a link back to the App Store...

Just Portrait Mode on iPad Pro 12.9 ??
Why just Portrait Mode - or is there any hidden Option to switch to landscape??
Absolutely legendary!
This app is amazing! I wish it could have an emulated 6581 R3 or 6581 R4. Otherwise impressive!
Nearly impossible to use on iPad Pro
Because this app only supports portrait mode (WHY!?), the keyboard is contained to a tiny section at the very bottom of the display, and to make matters worse, the bottom half of each white key is unresponsive (as it conflicts with the app-switcher area on iOS). I also believe the app continues to drain power in the background, as my iPad battery went dead after two days of non-use, and this app used 100% of the battery charge in less than 48 hours. I’m guessing the app is abandoned.

Als alter Protracker User konnte ich innerhalb von 5 Minuten schon den ersten Song schreiben. Es dauert natürlich sich in die anderen Funktionen einzuarbeiten. Der Sound klingt einfach nur nach C64...sehr Gut!
Landscape view - Disregard
Disregard my previous review. I was using an iPad 12.9 inch and landscape view isn’t supported on it. Using a 9.7 iPad and I’m fine.
Pretty good but would like more Sid functions
It is nice to use but I’d like a bit more power in the Sid programming, not all sounds that a real Sid can make are possible.
