Trash do not buy

This app does not let you customize your own words it does not let you record anything it’s terrible I don’t know what else to say about it please don’t buy it it’s a total waste of money and everything and description is a lie

Pretty good

We got this to review reading sight words for my not always cooperative incoming second grader and he finds it engaging and cooperates at least sometimes

Needs Improved

First of all, you can’t turn down the volume. And it needs more levels, it only goes to the third grade.

Terrible

Waste of money. The words don’t even sync with words being said

needs fixing / updating

I think the concept of this game is fantastic. I was disappointed in some other reviews noted that the sound doesn’t always work. I question why it is still on the App Store. If this is the case that it needs fixing and checking the version update it says five years ago. Does this mean the app is no longer being maintained? So once again, why is it still on the App Store if it is not working properly.

It’s a pity, because it has great potential.

Not enough words

Feels incomplete.

No custom lists of words

This game needs the ability to add your own child’s specific sight words that they are studying in school to help them study for tests.

Pointless

There is absolutely nothing to this game. I have no idea how this would remotely help a child learn. What a complete waste of time.

No sound

The sound stopped working after the first time I tried it. You also can’t add words that are missing from their premade lists.

Cute—No Learning Involved

Like others said, my kids just mindlessly swipe every word as it comes up. My littlest does just as well as the older kids. I wish it worked. The graphics are cute!

Not what the description says

You can’t add your own sights words like it said in the description. Total rip off!

Not for learning sight words

Mindless, wasted time! This is not designed for learning. What a shame, it had potential. Designed for kids to swipe back and forth on the screen until everything gets cut up. CHILDREN WONT BOTHER READING. Setting the app level did not work. Microphone access ? Why, that did nothing.

Not a challenge at all

They say a word and the words pops up on the screen so slow that it becomes the only option for a child to swipe. There is no challenge the child just has to keep swiping. I would say this is only to help become more familiarized with words.

Sound doesn’t always work.

This is a neat concept. I hope over time my 4 year old will get something from it. It is frustrating that the app’s sound only works some of the time so she isn’t hearing what the words are. Wouldn’t recommend it as a learning app for this reason.

No sound

It has potential but the sound doesn’t work every time you open the app. Major flaw.

Sound doesn’t work

This could be a great app - if the sound actually worked. Super lame for an app that requires sound to play and isn’t free.

No sound

The sound doesn’t work. It would be a great game if the sound worked consistently

Disappointed

I bought this app because I read that I could add my own sight words. Not the case here. You can turn their provided words on/off in settings. You cannot add your own. I’d like a refund.

Do not buy

I know it’s only $1.99 but it is a waste of $$$. The only good thing about it is the concept. My child was totally into it. However, the app works by the narrator reading each word and the kid just slices the word. My child just swiped all the words as fast as she could. There was no word repetition or word grouping. This does not help a kid retain the info. Also, as another reviewer stated, you cannot turn words off without clicking each word or an ability to set the level of the “reader”. The only way we were able to make it work was to turn the sound off and I said my child could not swipe until they read the word correctly. This required me to be by their side the whole time. May as well just buy flash cards! Clearly this was not developed by an actual educator! Great concept but terrible execution.
