I am not really trying to hate on this app .but I have a 4 year old and that is having trouble with her site words. and I love that the app can read her the site words but it really doesn’t have many choices.

Finally an easy to use and CUSTOMIZABLE sight word app! I was really getting over creating flash cards that would get tattered, torn, lost, etc.
This app not only allows you to create your own words, but then speak/record the pronunciation for each word so your child hears YOU, with your particular accent/dialect, instead of an accent they may not understand or recognize.

I am raising my two grandchildren ages 6&7 this is such a helpful tool for me especially when I’m working with one child the other can use this app to improve their knowledge of sight words . I think it is great
the app is family shareable but the word packs are not?!?
Now that we’re all thrust into the role of unemployed people with a full time job as homeschool teachers, so far this app seems serviceable. However the “gotcha” in-app purchases of grade level sight words appears to NOT be family shareable.
I purchased the word packs on my ipad to check the whole thing out before adopting it for my first grader and putting it on her ipad, only to discover once loading it there that “restore purchases” does nothing and I had to buy the word packs over again.

Also, it doesn’t respond to decide rotation - it’s locked in one orientation even with rotation lock off.

I purchased this app because it fives you the option of adding more words. I use it on iPod touch for my oldest,who is in 5th grade. He certainly did netter on his spelling test last week. I just wish there was a multi-language option, since my youngest is learning to read in Spanish. As a bilingual person myself, it would be very encouraging to see this kind of development for this app.

Great App
This app is amazing for preschool and kindergarten aged kids. I especially love the recording feature. My child is more engaged when she hears my voice.
Like everything except for one big flaw
I like that it is big and clear. Also to be able to add your own words is nice. The flaw is that the sound button does not work. I have to say the word each time which is fine usually. Occasionally I was hoping my son could do this himself but he can't because of that flaw.
Record incompatible with ios 7.1
The ability to record your own words used to work beautifully and made this the top sight word app. The record functionality ceased to work when I upgraded to ios 7.1. Perhaps the developers will fix this one day.

Where's the recording option?
I see the reviews regarding the option to record words with your own voice, but I don't see it on the app I purchased! It's great you can create your own list, but I'm disappointed that I don't see any record option! I'll be using it in my tutoring of an adult. I'm unemployed, so $1.99 -- wasted-- is too much money!

Awesome App!!
Love this App! My 6 year old loves to hear his voice when he needs a hint or just as a confirmation that he said he word correctly. We can also customize our lists. Best sight word App.
Fun Game
My daughter says this is a fun game. Each sight word lets us walk past another driveway on the walk home from the bus. The audio lets her self study when she steals my phone, and by adding words, we can add words common to our family & it can grow with her. Very nice!
