About

Sign Motion displays your face, upper body and fingers as a 2D avatar with clear expressions on a gray background. • Choose a cat, tiger, rabbit, chimpanzee, dog or either of two portrait avatars above Record • See blinks, winks, gaze, eyebrows, cheeks and mouth movements on the avatar face • See shaded hands and arms, clear finger boundaries and a white T-shirt • Start in Skeleton only, or choose Camera + Skeleton in Settings • Record the rendered avatar as an MP4, then save to Photos or share • Import a video you select from Photos, add multiple captions and trim it • Set each caption's start and end times, text color, size and position Caption times refer to the original video. Trimming retains only overlapping caption intervals. Editing exports a copy and preserves the original video and its audio. Imported videos keep their original footage; the app does not turn them into avatars. Tracking runs on your iPhone or iPad without an account. Camera images and tracking results are not sent to a server. Avatar recordings contain no camera footage. Microphone recording is off by default; enable it in Settings to include audio. Permissions are requested when needed. Saved videos remain in the app until you delete them; exported copies must be deleted separately. Choose 30 fps or 60 fps camera capture. Face, upper-body and hand positions in the image and facial expressions are estimated on your device. Avatar recordings use 720 × 1280 and a 60 fps setting; capture, tracking and display run at separate rates, and videos may reuse the previous pose. Use good lighting and keep your face, shoulders and both hands visible. Fast movement, occlusion and low light can reduce accuracy. Facial movements are estimates, not emotion recognition. The app visualizes movement. It does not classify or translate sign language or perform medical measurements. Requires iOS or iPadOS 18 or later.
