About

Signal & Noise is a pattern recognition game disguised as an arcane ritual. Each round, glowing runes appear on screen. Some are true signals. Some are noise. A single rule tells you which is which — and the moment you begin reading, the runes start to fade. It starts simple. Find the Spires. Find the Azure. But the longer you last, the harder the board works to fool you. Decoys borrow the colors of true signals. Hues shift until they're nearly the same. Animations learn to imitate. The window narrows. The mistake that ends a run isn't missing a signal. It's trusting a false one. How it plays: — A rule appears, and a grid of runes with it — You're told how many true signals there are, never which — Tap your read and confirm before the light goes — Miss one and you lose points; trust a fake and you lose clarity — Lose all three and the signal is gone Rewards are offered, never required. Reveal a signal, slow the clock, or take one more run at the round that beat you — and if an ad fails to load, the reward is granted anyway. The game never holds itself hostage. Every round is fast. Every call is made on incomplete information. No two runs are the same. Built by Forgebound Labs, a solo indie studio under Hearth & Hammer, LLC. No paywalls. No forced ads. Just you and the signal.

What's New in Signal & Noise

1.3

September 3, 2026

First public release. Signal & Noise spent a long time in private builds. This is the one that felt ready. What's in it: — Two kinds of rule and sixteen named runes, recombined every round — A difficulty curve that keeps escalating: decoys that borrow the colors of true signals, hues that shift until they're nearly identical, animations that learn to imitate — Signals that dim as your time runs out, so the board gets harder to read exactly when you can least afford it — Clarity that breaks only when you trust a false signal. A bad read costs points, not your run. — Streak bonuses for perfect reads — Optional rewards, never requirements — reveal a signal, slow the clock, or retry the round that beat you Built for iPhone and iPad. Thanks for reading the signal. ~Forgebound Labs~
