I LOVE this app because not only does it give the answer but actually teaches you why it came to that conclusion.
No infinite sigfigs
This app has no ability to mark an occasional input to "be infinite sigfigs." Without this functionality many chemistry calculations come out all wrong. It's very common to to have to divide by a number (say 1/3 or 1/2) with 100% precision, like stoichometry conversions, and the app screws up by narrowing the answers sigfig to 1! Just add an infinite sigfig button and your app will rock!

Best SiFig Tool Ever
I have a sig fig quiz tomorrow and our teacher either stinks or I stink as a student (highly unlikely but still possible) and this app is amazing for it. It teaches you and tells u why the answer is the answer!!! Thanks a ton to the developer!!! Not a single flaw.
Good idea, useful app
This is a good idea for a calculator app. I teach university chemistry and see how useful this might be for students learning about sig. figs. A few caveats, however. Sig. Figs. is an simplistic approach to propagation of errors. If you’re serious about sig. figs., then this calculator may give you wrong answers. That is because it does not — and I see no easy solution in a simple calculator app— include the covariance between numbers. Ignoring covariance will give you less significant figures than you actually have.
As a chemistry professor, what I would like is a calculator that understand units and dimensional analysis. That would be a great app!

I, as a number 0 enthusiast, have always felt that 0 never got it's due. Other calculator apps would not let me put importance on the 0. But this app. This app has renewed my faith in numerals. The 0 has once more become significant! It shall no longer be overlooked in calculations! Hail the mighty writer of this app because He... Is... My HERO.

This tool is really awesome especially for a first year chem student. We have a sig fig test coming up and this app has saved me! Using this app to check my work as well as give me explanations for the problems I do has been a HUGE help. THANK YOU!!
Very useful tool
I wish I had this in chemistry! Now in physics, this calculator is invaluable. It's not always easy to remember the rules but this calculator makes it so easy. With it I can be sure I am doing the problems with the correct significant digits as well as learn the reasons for why the answer is what it is.
