Sigurne staze

The mobile app Safe trails is an interactive map of the Republic of Croatia intended for hikers. The app allows users to create their own routes, search and explore terrain, trails, facilities, climbing sites, and peaks. It uses verified data from the Registry of Hiking Paths and Alternative Trails of the Croatian Mountaineering Association, as well as trails suitable for walking and hiking based on field data collected by the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service. The purpose of the app is to promote active tourism in rural and hard-to-reach areas, with an emphasis on raising the level of safety and improving communication with end users in order to continuously update and display the most accurate data. The app was developed under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia by the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service in cooperation with the Croatian Mountaineering Association.
