SIIT Support Hub

SIIT Student Support Hub (www.siitsupporthub.ca): A digital resource that welcomes faculty, support staff and students, gives them a feel for institutional culture, and makes information and services easily accessible within a click or two. Learners who study online/hybrid delivery do so with assumed flexibility. They need access to learning resources and services in the same way that they have access to their courses, that is, online and on demand. The Student Support Hub offers engagement and facilitation of support resources in real time and are accessible 24/7. The SIIT Support Hub is an online platform that connects users 24/7 to all the important information and events taking place at SIIT. A digital safe space for all SIIT learners. Through SIIT Support Hub, there is quick access to campus news, learning resources, handouts, online articles, information about scholarships, support staff and scheduling a virtual oneon-one appointment, virtual learning strategies, student handbook, career center information, digital lunch and learn events, and employment opportunities. SIIT Student Supports has identified 4 service delivery priorities to support students in a virtual platform: • Services that help learners engage with the institution • Services that help learners succeed in their studies • Services that help learners connect with each other • Services that help learners make a successful transition to the workplace
