Hello 👋 Thank you for taking the time to leave us this feedback. Here at Spark, one of our most important goals is member safety. Ensuring that our members are real, legitimate people is an aspect that sets Spark apart from almost all other meetup communities. This means that identity verification is one of the first and most important things our members need to do before they begin using Spark. We wish that we lived in a world where verification like this was not necessary, but unfortunately, scammers and spammers are real. Therefore, we believe that any measures taken to keep our community secure are worth it. We are convinced that scammers will not pass through the security barriers that we have created. We have found many scammers and spammers attempting to become members of the Spark community, and it is quite shocking to see how many are out there. But we will not back down in this battle. For these reasons, we have put in place a strong security system in which members are required to verify their identity before networking with others on Spark.
