My Brain's External Hard Drive
My brain during meetings is basically a browser with 50 tabs open, and three of them are playing music. I try to take notes, but I usually just end up with scribbles that look like a seismograph reading during an earthquake. This app has completely changed the game for me. I hit record, and it transcribes everything as it happens. I can pause it when the conversation goes off-topic (like Dave's story about his cat again) and resume when we're back to business. Then I can just merge the segments. It's fast, efficient, and because it works offline, it saved my bacon on a flight when I had a sudden burst of inspiration.
