Apple Pay ASAP!!!!
Good app that serves the purpose, but needs and update that adds Apple Pay. A more modern look would be a plus as well.
Doesn’t work
The app started saying authentication failed since a few weeks ago. It coincided with Silver Diner rolling out a new Diner rewards program. No matter what my husband and I tried doing, the app doesn’t work. Disappointed. And the entire migration to the new rewards program was clumsy and unnecessarily difficult to change over to.

Went from a functional app and easy way to “check in” to completely non-functional with an “authentication failed” pop up window persisting for the last month or so.
From Winner to Loser
Ever since Silver Diner decided to "improve" its Rewards program, their app has become a nightmare. I can't even log into my account anymore. Whoever they hired as their app developer should be replaced with a competent app developer.
App Doesn’t Work
The app periodically worked in the past, but now I can’t even log in, and it even throws errors when attempting a password reset. Silver Diner, you need to hire a new team to develop a new app from the ground up.
Updated app is useless
Since the app was updated in July 2026, it’s become useless. All previous information was lost. Deleted & downloaded new version. Unable to set up account. Everything you try to do gets an error message. No contact information to get support. Will not be returning to Silver Diner. Not worth the hassle.

Nice restaurant, but terrible app.
Almost none of the functions on this app work at all. Only checking into a restaurant to earn rewards actually works, which pretty just makes this app a digital membership card. If I don’t plan to go to a Silver Diner for a while, I delete the app from my phone. Silver Diner is a great restaurant, but they deserve better than this app.

Horrible app won’t let me sign in, won’t send reset
This app is horrible. It won’t let me sign in with my password. It won’t send an email to reset said password. Utter waste.
Can't reset my password
I am having a hard time resetting my Silver Diner account password, it's been some time since I have used it and I would really like to reset it. I never get a email from my account email address to reset it, please fix this.

Be aware when using this app they add an automatic tip to pickup orders
As stated above they add an automatic tip to pickup orders. Not carhop or curbside, but pick up orders where you get out of your car and go into the store to get your order. Tip culture has gotten ridiculous, yes you can remove the tip, but I wouldn’t recommend that because that’s what I did and either out of spite, or because of lack of competence they didn’t include all the ingredients of my meal. I made sure to check that they included the utensils I asked for and the maple syrup I paid extra for, I didn’t think at a diner know for it’s food quality, I’d have to check the meal itself to ensure they included the sausage gravy, it mentioned and pictured containing. I checked the app for a resolution and it said contact the store. I’m already 13 miles and 28 minutes away from the store and not going back. Thanks for not including all the components of my meal and how about learn to do the bare minimum, like putting the whole meal in the bag before reaching your hand out for a tip.

Great app!
I’m not sure why there’s so many complaints but the app works perfectly fine for me…never had an issue. Yes my food did take a little longer with my most recent order, first one was fine, but that happens at any restaurant.

The app is not allowing me to login. Although my password and login and password work online. Very frustrating.
The app is useless
I don’t know what changed, or when, but I used to be able to order food for delivery on this app. Now, whenever I try to check out, I get an error telling me I must first enter a delivery address. The trouble is, there is no place on the app to enter an address. I’ve looked under every menu and sub menu, I’ve even looked online. It isn’t possible. I tried changing my default restaurant but the save button is disabled. The entire app is completely unusable.

Taking forever to download the app
Have app on iPhone, trying to download it to iPad. Was downloading very slowly, initially showed it would take 20 min, I've been waiting & now it shows it will take another 38 minutes to download. I have a great wifi connection & a new iPad so the problem must be w/the app. Not waiting an additional 40 minutes (that's what it shows now) for an app to download. Ridiculous, giving up.

Plain doesn’t work
I tried several times to place the order and it kept telling me my token was invalidated. I would shut down the app open it back up and try again and still the same thing. Even if it did work, it would be disappointing because you can’t substitute anything like ask for gluten-free or dairy free substitutions like you can in the restaurant.

Very slow online order processing! Kill the app and switch to DoorDash or Uber Eats!
I’ve tried using this app twice and the online orders are significantly delayed being processed to the restaurant. By the time I’m about to contact my credit card company to rescind or cancel the order a charge goes through and the restaurant receives the order more than an hour later! Waste of time.. Just kill this app and provide the full menu to another online deliver service!
