Experience the history behind Arjeplogs market place “Plass´n”.
Welcome to the AR experience about the Market Place, or "Plass'n" as it is also called, which means “The Place”. By the way! We still say “Plass'n”, about the whole community!
In this area, man has lived since time immemorial. Through archeology and research, we have found traces that show that the first people came here to these regions almost 10,000 years ago! Then as now, contact with other people has been an important way to exchange goods and knowledge.
This experience is divided into chapters, where I take you through history. When a chapter is finished, the experience switches to an interactive mode where you get to look around the recreated environment. You get to take part in facts and anecdotes and experience 3D scanned models of the actual findings made at the site.
- The app only works on site in Arjeplog. The necessary QR code is provided at Silvermuseet, no purchase needed.
- Markers/signs on site calibrates the location and placement of the AR experience.
