Great community! Use the website if app is messing up

Seriously such a great place for services, fun stuff, etc. Really worth checking out!

Exchange Benefits

Time Banks are a win-win as a money-free way of building community, helping others and receiving needed items or support.

I’ve provided many energetic healing sessions which have been beautiful for me to share.

I’ve received handyman, website support, and copywriting help all of which would have been very costly.

iOS Issues

So were you guys planning to fix the iOS crash on launch issue or were you just going to leave Mac users out of the loop indefinitely? As a longtime member of the Simbi community I’m disappointed, the app used to be streamlined and easy to use but now it’s just decoration on my home screen. Uninstalled.

Does not work

Won’t open on my iPhone even after deleting, restarting, re downloading and reinstalling.

Simbiosis

I have been on Simbi for a year and a half and I LOVE IT!! I have had a chance to get things I could have never afforded or done myself. I have met some great people, like minded individuals who I have made hopefully a life long bond.

Needs work

Simbi was built on great ideas, but there is a lot that needs to improve. The app and community both need some fixing.

While the idea of trading work for work sounds brilliant and wonderful (and it is!) many people post lazy "services" that are a dime a dozen and not worth the time it takes to work out a deal. Some of the services and things people post to sell are a joke. The staff needs to start reviewing what goes on the website and posting caps on similar services.

I enjoyed it at first but due to the poor quality of work and terrible experiences I've had trying to trade graphic design work for other services, I've since stopped using it. I would rather charge money for my services and pay for the things I need. Investing money holds people accountable. Many on Simbi could learn a thing or two about accountability and professionalism.

Simbi, again, is a great idea but it is being implemented in a terrible way.

Very helpful at times

I graduated from an audio engineering school and the work on here has enabled me to add to my portfolio. You can get cool stuff in return but basically you can use it to build skills and make people happy.

Force to log on is bs!

Requires Facebook or LinkedIn to register. Linking apps to social media sites is never a good idea.

Unwarranted hate

0 issues with lag; anybody complaining is just impatient and not used to having to wait for 5-10 seconds for things to process

Concept is phenomenally innovative, no matter how many people say "bartering has always been around", due to the implementation into the information highway.

The use it or lose it should be discontinued though

Brilliant concept; app needs work

I truly believe in the concepts behind simbi and the steps they are taking to get community more involved.
I can't give 5 stars yet because you have to press the back button multiple times to go back and their search feature needs help. Specifically, for local searches, you have to enter each city you want to see results for manually.

Everyone's time and talent is worth something and useful to someone else...that's what a love about simbi. It still has a long way to go, but I've already received massages and made life changing connections all without any money involved.

Worth a solid try!

App Functionality Review

Simbi is AWESOME and such a cool idea. But the app needs so much improvement. It's slow, clunky, and freezes. I know they are new-ish and growing like crazy but it's really difficult to grow your own business/offers and services when the app doesn't refresh.

The marketplace for products is disappointing and I can't search for much. I tried to use the mobile site and switching to the desktop version but it's not any better.

I'll continue using Simbi but I really hope the developers have a smoother app in the works that allows people to use marketplace more efficiently. It's not very intuitive. So here's to sooner than later!

Go Simbi!

Can't login

I love Simbi but the app stopped working. It won't let me login.

Garbage

Requires mobile phone number, already got spam on my email.

The only people offering services are people who's time is literally worthless.

Terrible idea, we're all going to enjoy laughing at you when this fails.

Tech bubble 2.0 right here. I hope nobody I like is funding this.

Forced

As soon as I found out I had to spend my simbis or I would lose them, I uninstalled it. I like the concept; but who needs another responsibility in life? I can't be on top of everything. Sorry.

Nice idea, but not very useful

On the surface Simbi seems like a nice idea: trade your skills for someone else's, no money necessary. But, there are some issues. Simbi has its own point/currency system, which IMO defeats the purpose of using it in the first place. I've also been surprised by the very limited services I can find on here, and how difficult it's been to find anyone interested in 'trading.' This is made worse than it needs to be because Simbi forces new users to interact with other new users first, thus severely limiting your pool for potential trades. This has left me with few options, and I'm simply not interested in trading my hard-earned skills for a 20 minute ukelele lesson or tarot card reading. Will most likely be deleting the app today. Oh well.

It's so slow!

As mentioned by another user, it does lag a lot. After every time I go back, I have the spinny wait thing for about 10 seconds before I can do anything on the screen. It's slow like the days of dial up and the beginning of the internet.

It lags...a lot

The idea behind the app is wonderful and I am willing to withstand the lagging as of the app just to be able to use it. This review is solely reflective of the mobile app, not the product itself. I'd rate the product with 5 stars. Please keep improving the app and I think it will gain more Simbi followers.

So much potential

This app could be sooo much better. The bugs are terrible. I couldn't even upload a picture with my profile and still cannot even reach my profile to edit my listings.
The services offered are useless and should be filtered better. The format of the app is weird as well, there's a "back" button? when you click it it back-pages like a web browser and you lose whatever you were just doing.
Overall: this app needs A LOT of work.
Not worth it.

Great Idea, Buggy App

I used the app for less than 5 minutes and had it freeze a total of 4 times, requiring closing and reopening the app. Yikes.
