Optimal

It’s pretty cool mane

Some features are broken

Convenient way to adjust your settings without fiddling with the main unit. Unfortunately the drum tones don’t match what’s on the app, so the labels are useless.
Best used for mixing and pad settings.m

Decent app

Decent app but please make it so the “play along” feature does not play audio out of the phone and rather plays it out of the module into my headphones. Yes, my drum kit is connected via Bluetooth.

Needs improvement

Great for editing your kit and trigger settings. Needs incorporation of the expansion packs so one doesn’t have to connect a laptop to the module. Additionally it’s rather asinine that we can’t have the full library of available sounds to build our own custom sets. Some sounds may be in one pack but not others so you can’t get that sound without major compromises. You can’t even do this with a laptop in case the issue is building a custom rom file to upload. Seriously lame.

For playing along, don’t use this app, just play Spotify or Apple Music from your phone via direct Bluetooth to the module and it will come out your headphones.

Disappointed

Does not work well with iPhone. Will not connect with Spotify. I looked forward to playing along with songs, but I was not able to.

Simple but with room to grow

You can edit your set without having to go through the tedious drum module button pressing, which makes this much closer to being professional in that it’s easy to make changes without mashing the buttons on the unit 50 times to cycle through to a setting you wanna change. Now you just slide up on a fader graphic in the app’s UI. Slick.

It works smooth.

I cannot BT pipe songs into the module and through my amp, but that would be sexy, if the app dev team would be willing to do that.

But the only thing missing is an easy way to factory reset the drum module.

That said, now that I can fix each trigger to my liking quick and efficiently, it makes both the Titan 70 set I own, as well as the app, a much better experience than before. It “unlocks its potential” I suppose.

I used to have a Roland TD-10 and I loved the physical fader/mixers.

This brings that experience to my phone screen. My cymbal gets lost in the mix when I’m wailing on the drums?
No sweat. Just turn down the set quickly, crank the cymbals, and turn up the amp.

Want reverb on your snare? Just go into the kit edit settings and turn the reverb knob up.

Want to make your set stereo while using L and R cables into a PA? It’s just digital knobs on your screen, easy to move half your set left and half to the right.

The app doesn’t do anything terribly fancy, but it makes customization super easy and quick. That’s what I need.

Missing a few features that the module has.

Access to the 2 EXP input triggers would be a game changer, and should have been a default feature.
Ability to upload new sounds from the app would be all kinds of cool!
Otherwise it’s a good kit for the money.

Only real complaint on the kit would be inability to use a virtual hi-hat controller. That’s a life-changer!

Needs update

The devs have ignored this app and it needs many bugs fixed, yet they ignore it, devs update the app so that it's not a nightmare to use

Broken

A lot of things in the app are buggy at best, or completely broken otherwise… the play along feature is a great example… i’m still trying to figure out what the point of it is… The phone connects to the drum module with Bluetooth and yet when you try to play along, the song plays through the iPhone speakers and will not play through the drum kit. So if you put headphones on or anything like that, you drown out what’s coming through the iPhone. Not to mention, if I wanted to do it this way I could simply go to my music app and turn the song on… What is the point of connecting the Bluetooth and doing it this way if you’re still going to make me listen to the song through the device speakers instead of having it play through the headset on the drum module via Bluetooth? There is the loop feature… but it is also hopelessly broken… start playing a song from play along mode and then go ahead and try to stop it, start it over from the beginning and then start the loop… you can’t. It doesn’t matter how you rewind the song, it always starts playing automatically before you can even start the loop recording process… You can pause it, you can stop the music, but the second that you rewind it back to the beginning it automatically starts playing again, making it virtually impossible to start a loop from the beginning of the song. The rewind button is useless… It doesn’t work half of the time.

Overall, the software is completely broken and should not have been released yet. This is beyond simple development bugs that need to be fixed and can be dealt with later… This app for the most part performs extremely poorly and does not do what it is intended to do half the time. don’t get me started on the drum kit itself. I’ve owned mine for two weeks now, and the cymbals are falling apart.

Play along not working

Play along audio comes out of my phone instead of my titan 50. I even bought a month of Apple Music just for this app and it doesn’t work..
I was under the impression that it was all audio pass through like a bluetooth speaker would be but it is not. All of the other features of the app are cool and all but not having bluetooth audio is a real buzzkill considering how much that aspect was advertised.

I really enjoy it but

I have recently tried a few e kits and not to be a beginner the feel is good the sounds are natural but the one thing I really feel it’s missing is the function to tune up not just down the cheapest modules have that function can we please get that update somehow please other than that I love the kit hands down….BUT WE REALLY NEED the ability to pitch each drum up or down seriously

Could be better

It’s a great app don’t get me wrong, it just has so many bugs and is so limited I’d rather use my drum sets built in module instead, I think if it was updated to fix some issues it would definitely be a 5 star app

The play along doesn’t work

The play along featuring is not working. The sound comes out of the phone instead of the headphone, rending this feature useless. It would be nice to add a metronome click to the play as well for practice

It’s good but there’s room to improve

Overall the app is decent, but my main issue I have with this app is the playback. I can’t access my personal Apple Music library, which is quite annoying because I have playlists made for practice. And the audio doesn’t come through my headphones that are plugged into the drum module it comes out of the phone. What’s the point of a Bluetooth connection if it’s gonna do that? I love what the app is trying to do but that playback section completely misses the mark and it was the main reason I bought a Simmons drumset

Play along

Play along feature doesn’t work and also only allows songs from Apple Music or local downloads. Paid good money for the titan 70 and can’t even use the feature advertised… please fix asap

Easier interface to edit your kits

Use your iPad to edit your kits and settings instead of using the module. I prefer this instead of hunting around.

Great…. But I wonder why…..

The app is great, but just wondering why the Simmons Pack downloads are not integrated into the app? It’s a pain for me personally to pull out a PC to do the pack changes. Hopefully this will be an option in later updates.

It’s a good app with a major missing feature

The app is great and it works really well with the Titan 70 set. I assume it works just as well with the 50 but I don’t have one to verify.

The biggest miss in in the “Play Along” feature. You search for a song and you can play anything in your Apple Music (you have to pay monthly if you don’t wanna buy songs, I get Apple Music included with my phone plan) but it doesn’t remember recently played songs. There is a whole blank page there under the search bar that they could totally included “Recently Played Track” and it would really take the app to the next level. Or let me favorite songs like Songster does. The search is clunky and either of these features would take this app to 5 stars.

I can’t find anything else I wish it had, other than uploading your own sounds to the kits, but I think that’s a limitation of the Titan 70 and not really app side.
