What do ST, AH, PH, SO mean?
Great for surgical training with some room for improvement
Our general surgery residency program adopted this app in July and overall it has been a big step up for how we get timely feedback and how easy it is to log cases with ACGME. Some room for improvement for this to be an easy sell to every surgical program in the country.
Currently when a faculty completes the evaluation there is no notification to the resident. You just have to click through the evals to see if feedback was left.
The verbal feedback audio player works but is clunky. It cannot be paused and does not continue if the app is closed or screen turns off. If the feedback is more than about 30 seconds and I am not paying attention the screen turns itself off and I have to restart the audio player.
Also, if you start a new eval but don’t finish filling it out it saves it and sends it off to the attending. This is nice to make sure you don’t lose anything, but also has resulted in me sending a couple eval requests that I didn’t mean to send (once to the wrong attending). There is no way to delete or rescind eval requests or otherwise indicate that it was a mistake.
