App doesn’t work at all
This app doesn’t work at all. I just paid for the banjo tuner feature. The app produces no sound and doesn’t detect anything with the microphone. When I try to request app support it goes to a webpage that no longer exists.

Lately I tuned my banjo using this tuner and it sounded off, then I got someone to tune it without the app, and it sounded good!
I don’t know if it’s a glitch or something, but it makes the app useless.

My easy to use
We inherited a 4 string banjo and needed a simpler tuner. We bought the upgrade no problem. I had the ones we were looking for, but the tuner is not so simple to use or see AND the tune by ear doesn’t work. There is NO sound. Seriously what the heck. Would not recommend. Very disappointed since it had just what we wanted … if it was set better.

Nope
Not a useful app on IPad 10th generation. It provides constant feedback through the built-in mic to the point where I’m ready to yank out my hair.
Don’t get
You have to pay to actually tune your banjo. If you have to pay don’t say it is a free app

I used this app for 4 years and now I’m not sure how to use it. The update made it useless for a music novice like me. I’m sad that I paid for the add-ons.

Crashes every time I turn the microphone on. Waste of money.

Why is the App Store still selling this product if it doesn’t work? Every time I press the microphone button it closes.

Loved it for one hour!
I loved this app at first, and I really needed it to tune a new banjo with new strings. BUT it locked up on my iPad after an hour. I delete it and reloaded; it still didn’t work. So I invested 1.99 in the ad free version, because it really is a nice app. After I paid, it never gave me the option to set a password and it still will not let me press the microphone button, so no fine tuning is available. I’m very disappointed and will have to use something else.

I love it
It’s easy to use and I love the Alfa band at the bottom of the screen. It makes it easy to know how to get to the note you want when you’re way out of tune.

Tuner crashes
I’m giving three stars because on my IPhone X it worked perfectly. Now, on my IPhone 11, it crashes as soon as I touch the microphone. I’ve gone into my settings to make sure the microphone was on and it was. I’ve tried removing and reinstalling and it still doesn’t work. Bummed.

Doesn’t work after upgrade.
I used this app in the free form for several months without any issues and recently bought a second banjo that is tuned in a different key. So, I bought the full app and it seems to work just fine after several minor bugs such as not being responsive when a string was plucked.
It still doesn’t always respond properly for the fine tuning but eventually does if you turn the mic on and off repeatedly.
