Total AI slop and lazy writing. Repetitive posts. Pointless articles that offer nothing. Its a NONSTOP feed of ‘slow news day’ articles. I had higher hopes.

Great app but…
A great app if you like aviation. Every 15 min new articles. It will be nice if you add widgets for iOS and to have notifications when articles is onlines.

Lazy Journalism
Many of the articles are repetitive, poorly written and just plain factually incorrect. When you have read enough of this apps content, you cannot escape the suspicion that most of the content is not original and is either wholly or partially written by AI. Assuming that some of the content is not plagiarised, the writers could best be described as amateur travel writers rather than professional aviation journalists. It has a lot of potential but it’s a lazy poorly edited platform.

App is bugged
Hi there I have been a long time user of the simple flying app and for some reason now whenever I open the app it takes me to safari and on some random websites is there a way to fix this as I love reading these articles but cannot because of this! As also every 5 minutes it keeps taking me to this same browser I have not used the app since as this has become extremely annoying and difficult to read anything I have tried deleting the app and trying and it still keeps doing it I am not clicking any adds either I have tried contacting but I receive nothing I would like this solved asap please

Used to be a good app; no unusable!!
If I had 4 thumbs, I’d give this app 4 thumbs down.
(1) I used to enjoy this app pretty much on a daily basis, but beginning in early December 2024 the app started forcing advertisement after advertisement at me to the point where the app is unusable.
(2) The app used to just have occasional advertisements embedded in the articles, but now the screen is about 90% filled with multiple advertisements including ~50% taken up by embedded ads, ~20% with an ad docked toward the bottom, and ~20% random pop up videos while constantly opening some random webpage in Safari every few seconds without me clicking on anything.
(3) Has the code for this app been compromised by hackers??
(4) I totally understand running an app has expenses and finding a way to monetize the app is 100% fair, but do it in a less obnoxious way!!
(5) If things don’t change for the better in the next week or two, the app will definitely be deleted.

Simple Flying was one of my go to apps if I was bored, loved reading the articles and the design. Of course someone had to get the idea to ruin the perfect design and completely overhaul the whole app. It’s way to YouTube and podcast based and not what it used to be. Not recommended anymore.

Wow went from once upon a time great av geek website to just-another-news trash site. App just loads the web page with barely any formatting. And now if you don’t make an account you can’t even view articles…. Just go to the website or better yet ANY other av news site.
