Truly Brilliant

I have to assume that the negative reviewers of this brilliant educational game haven’t spent much time exploring what it can do rather than what it can’t. For a young child this kind of experimentation and discovery is what learning is all about. Levers, pulleys, force, momentum, mass ... it’s all here and more but with no reading to distract it’s all about doing. Your kids can adjust, move, apply, redesign, retry in beautifully designed and fun worlds. I bought Robot Factory for my granddaughter. She loved it. I’m sure she will be equally captivated by this ... and maybe learn something as she puzzles why a bike with square wheels doesn’t move.

Crashes immediately

Newest iPad on the newest software. Can’t get past the create your icon screen.

Machines Crashing

Same thing happening as Jamie3D. App continues to crash after multiple uninstall and install attempts. Sad my son loved it when it worked.

It works, but it doesn’t teach anything

I thought it might be a nice way for students to review simple machines, but I can’t ask them all to pay $2.99.

Doesn’t work

We bought this game a year or so ago. It was my son’s favorite app. But a couple months ago, it suddenly stopped working. You couldn’t load a profile or make a new one - the game would just crash. We’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it and that didn’t help. Reached out to the developers and they said to try an uninstall and reinstall and when I said that I’ve tried that, they offered a refund, which was kind of them. But since there doesn’t seem to be any recent reviews for this app, I thought I should let you know that if you buy it, there’s a good chance it just won’t work.

High price for bundle

Its ok. Price is high for the bundle and in app purchases cannot be shared with family sharing.

In order to access in-app purchases, you must be signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase the subscription. However, there are no in-app purchases available for Simple Machines. Hi! I am so sorry - that sounds frustrating. To turn the sound on in Simple Machines please first make sure the sound is on, on your device. Once you have checked this, you can turn the sound on from within the app by tapping the settings button in the tray. Here, you will be able to toggle the sound icon to turn the sound on or off.
