Remote app

It’s excellent while connected to my tv. Works far better than my actual remote. Problem is each morning I wake up the remote app won’t connect to my tv. I try everything from air plane mode, refresh all possible connections (wifi, bluetooth) etc
Turn the app completely off and on again. The only thing that works is to turn my phone off and then on again.

A new remote is in the mail from Amazon.
