Simple Repeat Timer. User Reviews

Worked only once

Only got the app to work once. That is unacceptable for an app that you have to pay for.

hello there sorry for your experience, please reach out to us gotimerapp @ gmail.com to follow up with your issue

Swiping open phone resets timer

I have to store open my phone. When I do that, it changes the time on the timer.

If you don’t have to swipe your phone open, it’s not bad - though it restarts itself on its own.

Response from developer

We’re sorry to hear this. What phone and iOS are you on? Please contact us and let us help you thank you! Gotimerapp @ gmail

Buggy

Spent 99 cents and can’t even set a timer. Keeps freezing when I open. Did a hard reboot of my phone and still nothing.

Response from developer

sorry about your poor experience we will look into it and will have an update soon to patch all the bugs! thanks for your support! If you need additional support please contact us at gotimerapp@gmail.com

Frequent crashes

I haven’t been able to use this app yet. It crashes (freezes / locks-up / becomes wallpaper) EVERY TIME that I tap on “World Timers”.
Too bad, I was hoping that this would fill my needs, but an app that is used to time even non-critical periods should, at the very minimum, be stable and trustworthy. I cannot say that about “Simple Repeat Timer”, so I’ll “simply delete timer”. Too bad...

Thanks for bringing this to our attention we are currently implementing a fix. The update will be out by end of the month! Thank you!

Timer won’t sound

The timer won’t sound in silent mode, just runs silently. I don’t know if developers can fix this or iOS won’t allow & is a limitation to be dealt with. I would like my timer to sound silent mode or not.

Response from developer

Thanks for your review. We are still currently investigating into how we can make this work even when your phone is on silent mode. Please stay tuned.

Junk Junk Junk

Junk junk junk junk deleted it 10 minutes after I bought it. Junk.

We're sorry Franky would you let us know what frustrated you and how we can make it better? Thanks! If you really hated it, you may be able to follow these steps for a refund: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204084

Not intuitive

Interface is horrid. It says swipe... I had to swipe every direction to figure it out. Then I was faced with a drag interface. Even free I deleted it.

Response from developer

we're sorry for the confusion, we will work on making the instruction text at the bottom of the page more prominent! It should say "Slide up to set". Maybe you read swipe up somewhere else that we forgot to change we're sorry!

Easy and super helpful!

Update: been using this for over 2 years. And while progress is slow, I do appreciate the developer’s dedication in making improvements still!! Looking forward to the Apple Watch app soon!

The concept and the app itself is very simple - you have a task, you set intervals of the time it’d take, and go. I’ve found this app extremely helpful in terms of keeping me focused, be more efficient, and saves me a ton of extra time wasted. I’ve used it in a variety of ways: house-keeping, cooking, exercising, preparing a presentation document at work, responding to work emails, etc. I think there’ll be more creative usages if you can set more than 3 intervals, and if you can adjust ringer volume/tone. Still, good app and very helpful!

Wonderful app.

I have meds to take every 2 hours. This reminds me with a nice soft tone. Thanks so much!😊

Devs if you're interested.

1:Longer intervals like 2 hours or more would be great. Though I did see that you're working on that already.

2:An option for the timer to go off each minute until I acknowledge that I heard it would also be really neat.

Not a dealbreaker tho. Love the app.
Got it on Appsgonefree a few months ago.

Thanks for leaving a review & the feedback we really appreciate it! The option to 'acknowledge' that you've heard it is great idea, though we'd have to look into how it'd actually be implemented. Being a repeat timer, it might be confusing for users trying to figure out if the alert is checking to see if you've heard the last cycle, or a new cycle actually just completed. We are however, looking to bring 3 different volume levels to Timer so that way depending on the need you can have a softer tone or a really loud one to make sure you hear it.

Great idea but ...

I need a timer to go off every four hours. This app only allows you to set alarms one hour intervals max. The app seems good for those who need short duration reminders.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback PJsd! We're working on a feature to let you set it to any amount of time you want by tapping on the time stamp and punching in the time desired. Please look forward to it in future updates!

Does not save

It does not save properly, when you force quit app because of no stop button, it saves the last session on count, it does not reset to zero.

Plus it takes ten minutes to get it on the seconds you want, it requires plus and negative buttons to set the time for count because swiping up and down is for children not adults to play with.

I hope the watch app you speak of has these features as would rather delete app that use it again.

Response from developer

Hi Simon the way to start/pause a timer is to simple tap once anywhere on the screen. If you're talking about 'stop' as in you want to reset the timer & the counter in the top left corner, then a quick double-tap will do that. When the timer is running there is a line of text near the bottom of the screen that provides these instructions. But we know they are not very visible and look to enlarge them in the future. Sorry you missed it. And yes in the future we plan to add function that allows you to tap on the time stamp to accurately enter the exact time you want. Thanks for the feedbacks!

Nifty interface

I like the interface a lot, but I'm not sure how much I would use the app.

Response from developer

Thanks for your review and would love to hear if you're still using timer and what do you use it for. If there are things we can improve to help timer serve you better please let us know as well!

Please add a start and end time

This is a great app for my uses. I like to have a repeat timer every 30 minutes to check in with my mood.

The app would be so much better if it had a start and end time so I could configure it to start the timer at, say, 7am and stop at 11pm so that I didn't have to turn it on and off when I woke up and went to sleep. Please add this feature!

Thanks for your feedback we've noted it and will look into how we can incorporate this in future releases!

Not release ready

Badly needs instructions in the app. The one liners at the bottom aren't sufficient and taking the stated action doesn't always work. Don't see any purpose for this setup. How about some examples on why you would use this type of timer. Seems like a solution without a problem.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback, can you be more specific on when the stated action (of sliding up to set a timer) doesn't always work so we can improve it? Is it because you're accidentally pulling up the Control Center in iOS? You can actually slide up anywhere on the screen to avoid this problem if that helps; but yes we will definitely make that clearer. As for timer examples, if you tap the clock icon in the top right corner we have included some default sets as examples. Hope this helps and would love to hear your future feedbacks!

Super slick!

That's really awesome how slick and easy to use it is!

Just drag up and down to adjust, tap to start and again to stop.

So easy!

Not intuitive.

This app makes me feel like a moron. I can't figure out how to create my own timers or to change the amount of time given on the built in timers. The minimal instructions given are not helpful at all. If someone can teach me how to use this, maybe I will change my review

Response from developer

We're sorry for the confusion caused and will look to improve the instructions in the future. To adjust the timer (while it is not running) you simply slide up or down anywhere on the screen to adjust the time. A quick double-tap will reset the timer. If you tap on the top right timer icon you can select from a set of defaults (your own saved sets will also be shown here). Once you load a set in they can be adjusted the same way. While a timer is not running, if you tap the (+) icon beside the time you can give your timer set a name and save it that way. Hope this helps and would love to hear more future feedbacks from you!

Can't edit the time

I have a slew of time wraps ranging from Pronto, dNext, Timerly, Timeglass etc. probably 20 in all so excited to see this one but after two hours of trying I do not see how to adjust the time. It can't be because I'm not technical I've been a software architect for over 20 years ha ha

Finally I got it. You simply slide the timeslot upper down intuitive? no way whatsoever. slick? yes

Glad you figured it out and thanks for the feedback! We will look into improving the instructions in future releases. Thanks for your support and would love to hear some exciting ways you are using all your timers for so we can make it better!

Well done timer - only one timer at a time

When I cook I need 4 or 5 concurrent timers. This gives one timer at a time. You can have timer set but only one timer at a time. This is an beautiful app that does what it says perfectly.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback we will definitely look into how we can add this functionality in future releases!

Simple timer

Easy three steps timer. I like the way it sets up the time.

Beautiful and easy!

The animations are so smooth and sexy! Great work, super easy to use and a great way to visualize / divide time! Simply wonderful!
