Awesome when it works
When this app works, it is the single most helpful songwriting app I’ve found. However, MANY times I will record something only to have the app quit and not save what I recorded. I would pay a lot to have a better working version of this app.
Crap, won’t save song. Worthless
I bought this app a few years ago and it’s always been like this. I thought maybe one day they would fix it, nope. Can’t save anything, worthless. I want my money back.

[Update! App won’t save a song if it has more than a one word title! Other than that, pretty cool. Can you keep working on it? Sorry, found another bug. It seems to play a mix of all the songs I’ve recorded when I load a song. I like this app. But you’ve got to sort these problems out.] On my way to teach a songwriting workshop this morning and thought, “I wonder if there’s a decent songwriting app?” This brilliant app is perfect for my workshop. It helps to illustrate how simple songwriting can be. By showing my students the basic chord progressions used in today’s country, rock and pop songs, then demonstrating how easily a song can be created on the app, I’ve completely demystified the songwriting process. A fantastic tool for my students and one that I’ll be using myself from now on. Thanks!

But too basic for me
Good for basic pop music , but doesn’t allow you to go further then adding 7ths or 1st and 2nd inversions, let alone combining them. Also stuck in circle of fiths and key signatures

It would be good to be able to delete chords in the side panel , and interchange them, move them about, like Chordbot , and Suggester, ?? Also airdrop export.
Limited interface
Only 9 chords available at one time.. would be nice to have a screen of all chords one can scroll down and sample.

Na ja, im Grunde genommen ganz nett um schnell ein paar theoriekonforme Chordprogressionen zu finden. Trotzdem einige Macken und vor allem ist der Preis für das Gebotene viel zu hoch.
Im Gegensatz zur kostenlosen LE-Version kann man hier nicht mal eben kurz zu einer anderen App rüberwechseln und dann wieder zu SSW, ohne dass die App praktisch neu startet. Das dauert und die Setings wie z.B. die zuvor eingestellte Tonart sind auch futsch. Extrem störend.
Songs müssen zuerst einmal immer aufgenommen werden. Es ist nicht möglich einfach einen neuen Song zu starten und Akkorde manuell einzufügen.
Sollen aus der Akkordliste Akkorde gelöscht werden, so geht das immer nur einzeln und jedes mal (!) muss das auch noch bestätigt werden. Aua!
Gepflegt wird die App anscheinend auch nicht (außer dem iOS 11 Update, immerhin). Zu erwarten ist da also leider nichts mehr.

Any updates or support coming?
I have loved this app for years and will give full five stars if they will continue to support. It no longer makes any sound. I haven’t found any app that does what this can do so I hope they update it soon!!

Awesome when it works but deletes my songs all the time!
This app is awesome but it seems to lack support. When it works, it is an awesome app for songwriting. One major issue that I am discovering is that it continually deletes my songs! The whole point of the office so that you can quickly jot down some cord progressions for him some tunes for later and if it cannot save those simple things, It's pretty much useless.
When I go to load an old song, it does not load any of my songs even though it shows that there is a file that is saved. If the developer would spend a little time working on this app and making sure that songs are saving properly, I would definitely change my review to a 5.
One other thing that is extremely annoying is when you close the app in return to the app, it brings you back to the home screen where you have to either resume a song or start a new song. They need to change that as soon as possible as well.

Demystifying songwriting
I highly recommend this app to my songwriting students. It really facilitates the process and allows you to easily customize and alter suggestions given to your own taste. Well done!
Great App
Love it! Perfect for when I get stuck and need to find a chord or work out a quick melody idea.
Good, not great
I like this app, but there are a few things I really wish they'd change: I wish the 'new song' button would take me to the screen where you choose the key instead of the default C key screen. Also, I wish I could choose the chords that I wanted to use for a particular song. Nothing too complicated, I'd just like to be able to throw in a II or a iv chord here and there. Speaking of Roman numerals, it would be cool if I could choose to use them instead of just the Arabic numerals. Another reviewer mentioned that they wish you could select minor tonality, and I agree this would be a big improvement, since you miss out on altered harmony when just using the relative major key. Lastly, almost half the time I try to use it it won't make sound. My phone is new, yes the volume is up, so what's going on?
