Simple Speed: Ad Free

Simple Speed is a GPS speedometer that does one thing well: shows how fast you're going, big and clear, with no ads, no account, and no tracking. Most speedometer apps are paid, full of ads, or cluttered. This one is free, has no ads or upsells, and is built to read at a glance from arm's length, in a moving car, at night. SPEED YOU CAN READ • A large, high-contrast readout in mph, km/h, or knots, picked from your region on first launch • Pure black screen by default, easy on your eyes and your battery at night, with an optional Light Mode for bright days • Works in portrait and landscape • Keeps the screen on while the speedometer is showing • Honest readings: when the GPS signal drops out, you see "--" instead of an old or guessed number LOCK SCREEN SPEED While you're recording, your speed, distance, and time stay on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, even when the phone is locked or you're using another app. Turn it off in Settings and GPS stops as soon as you leave the app. RECORD YOUR DRIVES • Start, pause, and stop a recording, then save it or reset • Trip distance, max speed, average speed, and recording time • Choose whether time stopped at lights counts toward your average • Browse saved recordings, each with its graph, distance, max, and average SPEED GRAPH • See your speed over time, from the last minute up to the last 3 hours • Drag back through the whole recording, then tap Live to jump back to now • Time marks along the bottom and numbers on the peaks and dips • A line at your speed alert, with bars that turn red above it SPEED ALERT Pick a speed, and the number turns red and the phone buzzes once when you go over it. HUD MIRROR Flips the display so you can set the phone on the dash and read your speed reflected in the windshield at night. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No ads, no account, no analytics • Your location is used only on your phone and never leaves it • The app doesn't connect to the internet Please keep your eyes on the road. Set the phone up before you drive, and leave any changes to a passenger.
