Not useful, poorly designed and the web site is a hot mess. Very disappointed.

Total money grab. Nothing like the pics even, i'm missing 4 of the areas of interest it shows in the picture - and got, what looks like an outdated, old version or something. And it's just something that shows you a glimpse of anything they try selling you on their website for $1000 + for any plans. For saving the world through environmental engineering - it sounds great, everything low tech - but getting to the initial step costs you $1000. Better be certain it's what you want for that kind of money. Apparently environmentally-minded people are loaded with cash?

App is not user friendly. I want a refund.
I was very excited to download this app. It will not zoom on the pictures. Why do you need to zoom on them? Well they are too small to see. Not worth the 9.99. Honestly don’t think it is useable even for free!
If was user friendly and had more info you can actually read, possibly would be just ok, for free app. A 10 dollar app should be useable, this one is not.
I will wait to give this app a 1 Star (since there are no 0 stars) until I hear if you can at the very least zoom on the info/pictures.
However at this point it’s terrible. Such a disappointment, book would probably be better!

Good idea... poor execution
Although this app seems to have a wealth of information, it is virtually useless. The pictures/diagrams are so small, that you cannot read anything at all. There is no zooming in on the material, so basically I just threw away $10. I wouldn’t waste my time with this app if it was free. Do yourself a favor and just put that money towards one of the Earthship books or building plans. Incredibly disappointing.

Totally misleading. This app is not operational.
I purchased this app and upon completion of the download, opened it and began exploring the tabs within. They all gave an error message stating that there “is no data feed available at this time.” I’m connected to high-speed internet, so I know it’s not a matter of needing to download anything extra. The app is 100% devoid of *any* content whatsoever...

Hopefully I can actually get my local government to allow me to build one. They are amazing! My wife and I stayed in one a couple months back.
Please make it so we can zoom the images
I LOVE the earthship concept. My only gripe here is that while there’s tons of info in the images in the all most of the detail and writing is super small and can’t be enlarged (that I could see at least). Makes it pretty hard to follow. One small change and this would be a 5 star review from me ❤️

A PDF would be better. I can’t zoom in on any of the plans to see them.

Don’t waste your money
This app is awful. There might be some useful information on it but it is so hard to navigate and use it’s just frustrating and not worth the time. Maybe if they actually spent the money to hire a REAL app creator this problem would be remedied, but as always with Earthship Biotecture, they pinch pennies and produce a mediocre product.

Good Information, disappointing execution
Yes, this is a bundle of useful information for earthship enthusiasts. However, it is not well-executed as an app, since it is basically a collection of images and text files. There is nothing to interact with, so don’t expect to design your own structure. Don’t expect a nifty collection of earthship photos or, in fact, any images of decent resolution. And it was $10. Bummer.

Why isn’t this app VIRAL yet?
I’m a big fan of Earthships. I think it’s one of the few unarguable concepts for rehabilitating our ailing planet and helping people escape the bureaucratical tyranny of the power grid. It also empowers owner builders and supports society to move towards a more village based economy which I believe is the remedy to capitalism. That being said, the information in this app is tremendously valuable. Entire construction drawing sets from which a builder could literally build their own Earthship. There’s even a “Thinking” section which adds levity to the content density of this app. Mike Reynold’s philosophizing is a nice garnish. I would like to see an audiobook so I can listen while driving.
The app does have some quirks but I think these are easily dismissible as I assume whomever is behind the scenes compiling this app at Earthship headquarters is not a professional UX designer.
Regardless, good work team Earthship! Keep it up!

Very good of them to make this more widely accessible. To use the app where there is no internet, you'll have to go thru and download all the images using google photos app which is free.(because google just wants you're data) Then you're good to go remote or print them out on 11x17 paper.
Great app for the price!
For $10 you get a lot of information from this app. There are several design types included and each type would normally cost $5,000 or more. The drawings are well detailed and the pictures show even more information. I've already taken a set of drawings to my building inspector and he's approved my plans! You should know (and the app explains this), that to zoom in or print the plans you'll need to download Google photos. You can zoom and print from that app once you download specific drawings to it. Anyone interested in building a smaller size earthship (500-1,200 square feet) should get this app!

We were going to buy the information included in this app for over $1000 and got even more than we thought when we bought this app for only $9.99! I would recommend it to everyone, keeping in mind that this is work in progress and it's only getting better !
