App Broken
I used to love SimpleEdit. Then updates broke the app. First the curser stated jumping to the bottom of the page. Next, it's now impossible to open any saved SimpleEdit text documents. I have lost work. Its sad what’s happened to this app
Used to be perfect.
This was a perfect text editor until the cursor started jumping to the last line while editing elsewhere. If this is a feature please make it optional. Also link to Support takes you to sign up for linked in (sorry not going to do it).

Exactly what it seems AND does not require a iOS update
Unlike all the other files editing apps which I can find on the app store, this one does not ask for the latest iOS update (because my device cannot update), and does not ask for money.
Also, it keeps the same style of the app Files instead of giving me some ‘dodgy pop-up window’ for editing. So very good and worth getting!

Just edit
This is exactly what I wanted. I use it to paste stuff, all formatting is removed and I then can use the plain content.
Great app, one minor problem
This app is great, it has all the basic functions I want without making it cumbersome
I use it hourly as a to do list with file shared on OneDrive- so it’s a seamless document from phone to PC and back.
One minor weird thing- if I edit or delete a line mid document, it drops me to the last line in the document (while editing in iphone)
Nonetheless, I recommend this!

Simple perfect for editing text files
I use a lot of text files in the work that I do. This app is perfect with only one suggestion to include the ability to easily insert the current date and time.
The default in the iPad, iPhone system, is to convert text files to a pages format for editing. However, I use a lot of notes in text files because of their small size and most devices open them quickly. I like to use simple text files for a wide variety of tasks then transfer them to my computer for further editing.
This app performs that function very well.

App will not recognize its own files
Do not use this app! The new revision of this app will not recognize its own files from previous versions- I have lost days of work due to lost data! It makes the files unrecognizable. 😫😤😡 Do not use this app! Plus this new version is importing files that it can’t even load or use; random photos and other app’s files! Also the developer is unreachable- his website linked here goes to LinkedIn and they won’t let you message him! Do not use this app! I will retract this if the bugs are fixed ASAP and I can access my old files- just go back to the original version- it’s better even with its minor bugs! I believe the app revision forces a new app files document to be created, overwriting the old one, which throws out all the old files- the only file I can access was one I accessed from another editing app. Days of work lost! Terrible! 😢

I want to create a new file, but the screen is stuck at the previously created one. There are no self-explanatory ways of solving this ridiculously basic problem. I would give this app negative stars, if I could.
Can't navigate within app
I had the same experience as the previous reviewer. Can open and edit a text file. But then you can't save or open a new file. There's no way to navigate to files within the app. There's nothing available to do but quit the app. What the heckin?
Broken / abandon-ware?
This might have worked in the past but there is now no ‘Done’ button to save your edits.

You can edit one file ok, but…
… then you have to kill the app to edit a different file! There’s no way to exit. Weird.
Almost Perfect
I wish there was a way to go back from the text-file to the file explorer. But the rest is perfect.
Great app
To get it to work I had to delete and reinstall after updating to V2 but all good after. iPad Air 4, Ios 15.4
