This app is worth the money and does what it says if used consistently. The app gives positive feedback and gives hints until the word is spelled correctly. The pronunciation of words is concise. The "accent" is that of national news broadcasters.

Overall, this app is outstanding. I am somewhat disappointed by the lack of the -ough cluster in advanced, 1, or 2.

This app is worth the money--easy to use, provides much needed practice, and can be used with multiple students. The developers did a nice job with this one!
Nice for learning phoneme rules
Simplex Spelling Advanced helps teach the phoneme rules by introducing the rule then providing spelling practice to use the rule. If correctly spelled a barely enthusiastic encouraging word is spoken and printed on the screen. If incorrect spelling one can manipulate the letters or get hints. I found the hints would highly benefit a struggling learner. Specific performance summaries are available for every child you enter into the app. It would be beneficial if one could create their own spelling lists. I also found the app too much like a teacher lecturing to the child. No enthusiasm or graphics throughout the app would lose my students immediately.

LOVE IT
this is a great program that keeps kids excited about learning and motivates them to challenge themselves. would love to see kindergarten level added and ability for own lists. hope these improvements are soon but would highly recommend as is!

This is a very well thought out spelling app for students. Breaks down the words very well, the voice help is very well done.

It's app was easy to get started with. The user interface is easy to navigate. I love that it collects data. It was too hard for my special needs PreK class, but I could see it being helpful in a Kinder or 1st grade class.

Impressive! It's engaging and thorough. The reporting feature clearly shows how many times each word was spelled correctly. It is very easy to navigate both for students and teachers. The lessons are clear and concise. There are enough word lists that students can start at different levels depending on their current skill set. This is the must have spelling app!

This app has helped my english language students learn to spell english words. The student can listen to the sound of each letter and create words in a fun way!!
nice tool for phonics lessons
The app has a nice simple interface, like the phonics lessons that are built in. Has some data collection which is nice. would be good for my students who are older and fairly high functioning.

Spelling app breaks down practice by spelling patterns. Lots of practice with no thrills. Not very exciting for younger students.
Good for Average/Advanced Students
This is an excellent overall tool to teach students with average or advance abilities the rules of phonics. Lots of options to customize the experience. Data is collected. Some of the interface would be difficult for some struggling users to navigate, but it's definitely worth a look for all other users.

excellent app
Advanced phonics is a very smooth running app that is easy to set up and get a student started with using it. You have the option to customize it for individual students in several different areas. It keeps track of correct and incorrect answers and highlights errors in red so the student knows exactly which part of the word they have made a mistake with. It also allows for hints, repeated sentence cues and finally will give the correct answer if the student can not answer correctly. A very well written app.

Great for those little Spellers!
Right off the bat, I love how you can change the settings and gear them for each user. The narration is great, it allows a non reader student to understand the wording. It also helps kids hear the the words, letters, and sounds. I like how you can tap on the box and it gives a pull down of letters or letter combinations that can be used. You can rearrange letters too. There are many different catagories of letters to choose from too. This is a fantastic app!

Great Spelling App,
This is an awesome spelling app! It provides lessons and instruction on different spellings of sounds and sound combinations. It also gives the speller immediate feedback when they begin to misspell a word. It also gives specific lessons for easy vs. harder rules. I love this app!
Excellent spelling app!
Thank you for sending me an advanced spelling app. I like the instruction part that is given right before the test. I also like the fact that a student can request more instruction. When a word is spelled wrong, the app highlights the wrong letter or letters and gives the student the chance to correct it. Awesome!

Fantastic
Fantastic ap for all kids to help with spelling. It is easy to use and so well set up. Best phonics app I have seen, if it was made a bit more universal and removed words like quart (quart of milk) it would be even better.
Excellent app
This is a great app with a beautiful design and well thought out format. The user has the option of working through 52 different blends. Within each lesson you are taken through 10 works that are read out loud and then you get to spell out the word. You are given a nice green box for each letter you use correctly, and a red box for each incorrect letter. I found the game to be very fun and was immediately drawn into it. One thing I did notice is that words given were not necessarily common words, which made the app truly advanced. Overall a fantastic app. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for more challenging words or format.

Great Spelling App with Emphasis on Vowels
I really liked how well Simplex Spelling Phonics - Advanced Phonograms taught uses how to spell long and short vowels. The app also gave good hints and explanations when needed. The audio voice sounded good and was easy to understand. The app also gave great sentence examples.
