They earned my trust.
I probably have a different relationship with Simplify than most people leaving a five-star review.
When I first paid for Simplify+, I was frustrated enough that I asked for a refund. I didn’t feel like the product was doing what I needed at the time, and when the refund was declined, I was pretty candid that the whole experience left me with the wrong feeling.
I kept using it anyway.
Five months later, Simplify had managed to completely change my opinion. Not through a sales pitch or by making the original disagreement disappear, but by continuing to make the product better and proving its value over and over again while I was actually using it. That matters to me. Trust is a lot more meaningful when a company has to earn it.
My particular challenge in this job market hasn’t really been getting applications out. It’s been conversion. I’m a somewhat unusual candidate, and lately I’ve become almost the perfect “second-place” candidate: I can get deep into a process, generate real interest, and come incredibly close, but not always turn that into the offer.
Unfortunately, that means I keep having to come back and do the first part all over again. Simplify makes that part dramatically less painful. When your job search starts feeling like its own full-time job, removing that repetitive friction matters.
And now the iPhone app is finally here.
As someone who has gone from frustrated trial user, to extremely active user, to someone genuinely rooting for this company, having Simplify available on my phone feels like a long time coming. I’ve also had the opportunity to test newer ideas and give feedback along the way, which has made me appreciate how seriously this team seems to take improving the experience.
Somewhere along the way, I also stopped looking at Simplify only as a user. I build with AI myself, and I’ve found myself studying what they’re building, thinking about why certain decisions work, and even applying some of those lessons to products of my own.
I’m still searching, so Simplify is unfortunately still getting plenty of real-world testing from me. But I’m also still here to test what comes next, give candid feedback, collaborate, or help build this kind of technology if that opportunity ever presents itself.
It’s rare for a company to take me from “I want my money back” to “I want to see these people win.”
Simplify did.

It’s a scam… no different from applying directly on a company site.

Love the app
I've wanted an app since the first day I use Simplify and the gods finally listened.
