Sinaps is a presentation tool for live interaction in lectures and conferences. Ask on screen, answer by phone: the presenter adds question slides between their slides, the audience answers from their own phones, in the app or in a browser, and the results appear on the screen right away. The presenter runs the session from their phone like a remote.
AS A PARTICIPANT
- Enter the six-character code on the screen or scan the QR code. No account needed, a nickname is enough.
- Answer quizzes, multiple choice, word clouds, open-ended questions, short answers, rating scales, clinical reasoning (SCT), numeric estimates, pin on image, ordering and matching. In a timed quiz, the option you tap is sent right away.
- When the presenter shows the results, see the correct answer and its explanation on your phone; follow your score and your rank.
- Say how sure you are when asked; at the end, see your correct answers by confidence.
- Check your results card at the end.
- If the presenter turns it on, solve the questions again after the session; your reviews stay in "My recent sessions".
- Ask questions in Q&A and upvote other questions.
- Send reactions; turn on "I'm struggling" when you are lost.
- If the connection drops, your answer is queued with the moment you tapped and sent once you reconnect.
- Enlarge a question's slide and read its text; VoiceOver announces new questions and results.
- Follow the session on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
- Join your team with your account; team points count in sessions linked to a league.
AS A PRESENTER
- Upload a PDF or PowerPoint deck; slides are converted automatically. Send a PDF from an email straight to Sinaps from the share menu.
- Add question slides of six interaction types and set a quiz's scoring, time limit and confidence question. Get question suggestions based on the slides you select; suggestions work only after your explicit consent on first use.
- Start a session as a "Lecture" or a "Conference / event"; the wording inside the session follows the type, and in a conference questions appear after your approval.
- Run the session from your phone like a remote: open a question, close answers, put the results on screen, move to the next slide.
- Change slides and open a question from the Lock Screen while your phone is locked; follow the answer count on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. On iOS 18, go to the next slide from Control Center or the Action button.
- On an external display the room sees the projector view, not your remote or notes. On iPad, use Split View and drag and drop files.
- Run it from Apple Watch without touching your phone: change slides and open or close a question with a wrist gesture.
- Pair the screen on the projector computer by scanning its QR code; you do not sign in on the classroom computer.
- Follow the audience's questions in the "Incoming questions" card on the remote and spotlight one on the screen; ask a quick question and pick a random participant with the wheel.
- See short answer groups and common wrong answers on the remote; accept an answer with "Count as correct".
- Get a per-question report, including the new question types, and the room overview after the session, and manage the after-session review from the report.
A SAFE SPACE
Every text is checked by an automatic filter before it is saved. Content written by others has a report button next to it. The presenter can hide or restore reported content and remove a participant from the session if needed. There is zero tolerance for insults, harassment, hate speech and sexual content.
