Marketing Heavy
The app embeds advertising EVERYWHERE and it’s impossible to scroll articles without accidentally clicking one. Im always having to relogin and it feels like it’s part of their strategy. Today I kept getting a pop up telling me an update was available and when i click it, Im taken to a spot to write a review….do better SCJ. And then there is the obvious liberal bias that tends to drift into their local reporting as well.

I have been a Sioux City journal customer for many many years. Watching my daily paper reduced to 3 days a week , Tuesday. Thursday. Saturday . Since this has happened , I have not received about a third of my newspapers that were to be delivered to our home. My wife still gets to read the paper digitally. But I enjoy the physical newspaper on those supposed 3 days It is almost imago get a person on the phone that can explain any reason as to why my paper is not there EVERY Tuesday Thursday Saturday. That’s what I pay for. Many times I get a person that doesn’t speak very good English. I would like to know why this happens and when it does , should I be entitled to a refund or extended service?

Painful to use
UI is confusing and obsolete. In fact the whole app seems like a time capsule from 2010. App is very slow and buggy, and appears to have not been touched by developers in years. Local news is impossible to find. Avoid this app and don’t subscribe to the journal. All it will do is disappoint you

“Upgrade” ruined it. Too bad no one there is smart enough to see that.
Update ruined what was already a bad design
Wow. Talk about going from bad to worse. The October update made this thing unusable. Horrible in just about every way. I'm glad I no longer buy advertising from the SCJ as this thing will be death for advertisers. I would give it negative stars if I could
Outdated and Neglected
Poorly organized. Hard to navigate. Doesn’t offer much content, even for paying subscribers. Can’t locate where to log in with my account. I doubt it exists. Totally disappointed.

This app has too many ads. To read pages you have to complete survey. I Don't recommend it.
