About

Every June, Year 4 pupils in England take the multiplication tables check: 25 questions on screen, six seconds each. Six Seconds lets your family rehearse it at home, calmly, and shows you exactly which facts need a little more work. FULL REHEARSAL Three practice questions, then 25 questions with six seconds each and a three-second pause between them. Answers go in with an on-screen number pad, just as they do on the day. There are no ticks or crosses until the end, so the rehearsal feels like the real thing. On iPad, a keyboard works too. BUILT LIKE THE REAL CHECK Each rehearsal is put together fresh using the rules in the published assessment framework: questions from the 2 to 12 tables, more from the trickier 6, 7, 8, 9 and 12 tables, a limited number from the 2, 5 and 10 tables, and never a question alongside its reverse. THE FACT MAP All 121 questions the check can ask, in one grid. Each square shows how the last attempt went: fluent (under three seconds), slow, missed or not yet asked. Tap any square to see its history. At a glance you can see that 7 × 8 is solid but 8 × 7 still makes your child pause. TRICKY FACTS Ten questions chosen from the ones that need work: missed facts first, then slow ones, then any not yet asked. The answer appears straight after each question, so practice is short and useful. Five minutes a day is plenty. MADE FOR FAMILIES • Add each child and keep their results separate • See scores over time and a countdown to June • Choose the paper colour your child uses at school: white, black on peach or blue on cream • No accounts, no adverts, nothing collected. Everything stays on your device • Works offline on iPhone and iPad Six Seconds is an independent practice app. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department for Education or the Standards and Testing Agency.
