Simplifies life

Simple and to the point, it makes me focus on what’s important

Simplicity is best

Loving the simple use of this app so far. Hopefully will have an update that allows background Colour or image changes yay

Not good at the moment.

This was a great app, but now it crashes every time I try to open it. It makes it hard to do my job without my list.
Update: Deleting the app worked, I did not lose my data. I appreciate the developer reaching out to me!

Response from developer

Hey Kota! Thank you so much for the review and notifying me of this issue. I have made a fix for this, but in the mean time, please remove the app and re-install it. I know, that is not the ideal solution, but that will get you going until I release a fix for it. Please be sure to contact me directly through the app at so@simple.li so I can immediately attend to any issues you may have. If you're concerned about losing your previous data by deleting/re-installing the app, let me know and I will help retrieve them for you. Cheers! Yehuda Simple.li iOS Engineer @sixthings

Love it! Best focused todo app

I've downloaded lots of to do apps but they are all too complicated. I shouldn't have 10 lists of 20 items. Just give me what's important, which is what sixthings does!

Wonderful App!!

Helps me with my day to day life!! Thank you 6 things!!

FAQ

What is the Ivy Lee Method used in Six Things?

The Ivy Lee Method, taught in 1918, involves writing down six tasks for the next day, prioritizing them, and then working on them in order of importance. Six Things helps you implement this by limiting you to six tasks and encouraging you to tackle your top priority first.

How does Six Things help build momentum?

Six Things uses a 'momentum tap mechanic' where you tap to build progress on each task, making completion feel rewarding. It also tracks your streak for completing Priority One, encouraging consistency and a sense of accomplishment.

Does Six Things have ads?

No, Six Things is completely ad-free. The app explicitly states 'no ads, ever' and emphasizes a privacy-first approach with no tracking or analytics.

Can I sync my tasks across devices with Six Things?

Yes, Six Things offers optional iCloud sync, allowing you to access and manage your tasks across all your Apple devices, including iPhone and iPad. This ensures your priorities are always up-to-date wherever you are.

What makes Six Things different from other to-do list apps?

Unlike apps that allow infinite tasks, Six Things enforces a strict 6-task limit to prevent overwhelm and encourage ruthless prioritization. This constraint is designed to boost focus and completion rates, helping users feel accomplished rather than stressed.

How does the evening planning ritual work in Six Things?

The app features an evening planning ritual that automatically activates at 6 PM. This encourages you to plan your tasks for the next day tonight, so you wake up with clarity and purpose, ready to tackle your priorities.

Is Six Things suitable for all ages?

Six Things has an age rating of 4+, making it suitable for a wide range of users. Its simple interface and focus on task completion are beneficial for students and professionals alike.

How often is Six Things updated?

The latest version of Six Things is 2.1.1, which was last updated on January 25, 2026. This indicates a commitment to ongoing development and improvements for the app.
