The onboarding experience leaves much to be desired. You’re required to answer an excessive number of questions just to access the app, raising concerns about how much personal data is being collected. The claim that it’s to “deliver a customised experience” feels more like an excuse than a valid reason. After making it through the lengthy setup, the first thing you encounter is a push for a subscription. While a free trial is offered, it feels premature and intrusive to lead with that before users have even had a chance to explore the app.
Once inside, the experience doesn’t improve much. The app feels heavily tailored to a U.S. audience, which makes its presence in the UK store questionable. It’s also quite buggy and slow. Overall, there are significantly better alternatives available. Not sure how they can justify a £7.99 per month subscription.
