Drawing a blank
I am an individual who loves to create, but sometimes I find myself staring at the white void of the paper and can not for the life of me think of a thing to draw. It’s almost feels exhausting at times, especially when drawing is your coping mechanism, and you find yourself getting frustrated because no inspiration comes to mind.
That’s why I love this app so. It just gives me a simple prompt and without hesitation I just draw it. Even if I don’t have any point of reference. That can feel a bit intimidating and overwhelming. But if you set the overthinking aside and just do it, you’ll surprise yourself more than you realize.

Outstanding
This is an outstanding app. Simple to use, great fun and so friendly. It’s so good that I have submitted at least one sketch every single day for 7 years and 11 months! I haven’t missed a day since August 27th 2018!

This is the best game at helping you get better at drawling. One reason is because you’ll get to look at other people drawings and see how they do it and they can give you tips on it and it just in all helps. you getting better at drawing so I really recommend this game..

I literally just got it and already love the app. I like how the prompts can mean many different things and you get to see people’s perspectives and stuff.

This app is pretty good. It actually has NO ads, I’d say it doesn’t push on you to upgrade. There is a lot of positivity in the comments and it feels great! The lessons are helpful. Like learning how to properly draw hands and the way of clothing. And the daily prompts are simple, yet so big! Like we had ‘echo’ once, everyone thought many things. It’s nice to see multiple perspectives! Another prompt was ‘strange’. There are also adult settings, so if an artwork is set to adult settings, it will blur the picture unless you change your preview of adult settings. There are a lot of mediums. The comments that have glitches and bugs, those never happen to me, I’m using an IPad and it’s going great! To upgrade, it’s 3.49 monthly and 34.99 yearly. Plagiarism is taken care of, but if you have a, say for example Reddit account, and you post the same artwork on there. There is a chance you might get taken down. There is a slot to put your instagram account in your profile information. And when you are scrolling through many artworks, it sometimes highlights new artists, Gold members, etc. Overall, I’ve never felt this great about an app. I recommend you try this app!

love this app but one small thing..
I love the idea of a different prompt everyday. It really helps you branch out and draw things you normally wouldn’t. The only thing I dislike is the glitch i’m having with the “reward gallery”. I cant see any of the art and it’s disappointing because I have 4 unclaimed rewards at the moment. Other than that I love this app.

It logged me out and still kept my old account and now I don’t even no where to start but friendly community for me.

I live sketch a day so much the community is so nice and supportive! I love the suggestions each day for the prompt to give you ideas! I wish that you could see who follows you though. But that’s ok because I really just do it for the streak not the likes 🙂
Why are u too lazy?
The only thing I can’t do is upload my sketches. How do you do it? There is no button to upload the sketch or I just can’t find it! This is really annoying and stupid and stressful and I don’t like the people who made this app. Like, why can’t you just make a simple tutorial for the people that can’t upload! But if there is and I am sounding dumb right now, please tell me!

I like it but it is unfair
I see some drawings that are absolutely amazing but only get 3or 4 likes whereas the famous people that are promoted on that app always get more than 100 and me and a lot of other people think the same thing . Somethines thier drawings aren’t that good compared to others I have seen so I don’t know if it is bots doing it but that amount of humans are not going to lik a bad drawing

This game is awesome it’s helped me with drawing and other stuff! There’s such a good community around this app, (don’t be surprised if someone named Nina_P greats you!) there’s some great artist and great people! Just there’s the gold membership. I think it’s cool but before a month ago it wasn’t like it is now. You can’t even see future prompts anymore! And yeah there’s some stuff like the bio and other bonuses that I think k are fine but the future prompts was something I LIKED about it! I hope the makers see this. But if they don’t pls find Ghost_the_rapper on sketch a day and pls follow!

Over 2 months on
I was thrilled to find this app that connects me with a community who create art regularly. Seeing the creative responses to the daily prompts encourages me in my own hobby. I’m so disappointed by the recent change meaning I no longer (as a supporter) have access to prompts more than a day ahead. My life is chaotic and whilst I like posting every day I can’t create every day. Please, please give us a few more days 🙏

Dark pattern
They changed the way you can see upcoming prompts (used to be ad supported). It says to unlock and gives the option for the monthly subscription and if you click “more” lets you do a 1 time payment as a supporter.
Since I clicked “unlock” and then “more” I assumed the one time payment would unlock the thing I clicked unlock on. It did not. This is a dark pattern designed to steal your money.
Edit after dev response: they used to have upcoming prompts gated behind ads. They made this monetization change the same time they added this dark pattern. It’s nice they offer a refund due to a bad review, but they shouldn’t engage in dark patterns when’s designing their app. It will remain 1 star until they start being consumer friendly again.
