Video stops in landscape orientation
Every time I full screen the video and turn my phone sideways into landscape orientation the video stops playing and closes.
Also on the mobile app, you can’t give feedback on videos. You click thumbs down and the keyboard covers the “submit feedback” button with no way of clicking it. Dog poo app

Love it! The only small thing is I need to create a customized test on the website first, then I can access it in the app. I can’t create it first in the app. It’s very small though. I love this app!

Closed Captioning Settings DO NOT save
The closed captioning settings do not save. I have to adjust them every time. This is not very accessibility friendly. I also see that it doesn’t matter what my CC settings are for my device.
Better Zoom in Landscape mode please!
Overall, the app is well laid out, however, the most important things is watching the videos, which don’t have the largest text size when there’s greater detail. I should be able to zoom in and scroll around the videos, which I see now is an option in portrait mode, but not landscape mode.I was able to do this when I previously used “3rd party viewing methods,” so the feature would be greatly appreciated in the app itself!

Fantastic app
I’ve been using this app for a year, along with the website, and it’s fantastic. The app offers everything the website does, including progress tracking, bookmarks, a night mode, and a beautifully designed artistic interface. TBH, I didn’t or can’t remembering experiencing technical issues with the app(old+ new)other than the captions/subtitles option stop working when you play videos in full screen.
Sketchy as a whole is incredibly valuable for studying, especially for microbiology, pharmacology, and pathology. The sketches are high-yield, funny, and serve as amazing memory aids that make learning enjoyable.
While it might seem a bit expensive, it’s worth the investment for the level of quality and the impact it has on retention and understanding. Highly recommend it!
I think they offer discounts 2 or 3 times a year maybe Jan, April and late July if I remember correctly.

Excellent for studying between rounds
Sketchy dark mode is a lovely way to cram clinical knowledge when your tired between rounds.
Almost perfect
Sketchy on the go sounds like heaven. I have it a 4 because, as someone who uses the app every single day now, I get frustrated when the app crashes. It seems to be not very frequent but it does happen.
Horrible customer service
I paid for the blueprint X Sketchy bundle for Black Friday in November. It is now January, and I am still not calling, but emailing back and forth with the customer service help. They have no call services. I’m sure sketchy is a great app but this has by far been the worst customer service experience of my life. That’s 3 months of study time I could have used sketchy yet it was inactivated, emailing with them constantly while they take days on end to respond each time, and they haven’t even activated my account. It’s utter incompetence and frankly I’m being nice.

PERFECT FOR ALL LEVELS OF MED SCHOOL AND PREMEDS!
If you’re already a Sketchy Stan, then this app will literally improve your daily reviews, especially if you’re on the go! I love that I am able to not only watch but also do sketchy post video questions on the app. The design of this app is so colorful and fun. Also is amazing that you can watch sketchy now wherever you are! And also at the speed that you want too!!

Love that they FINALLY got that mobile app going — so easy to use in clinic or wherever else on the go for some (fun) studying!
Could not even sign up for an account
Unfortunately, I could not even finish the registration process because of the UI not working properly.
Great resource made convenient
The desktop version of Sketchy is fantastic, so I was excited to hear about them coming out with an app. Second year of med school is tough and I’m always busy, so having the app is really helpful and convenient when I’m away from my laptop or I just need to refresh myself on the symbols. I’m also planning on using the app for rotations to prepare myself before entering a patient room or before getting pimped lol. Sketchy’s made a bunch of new improvements and keep continuing to upgrade, so I’m lucky they made the app that also reflects these changes. I personally haven’t experienced any bugs so hopefully it stays that way. Honestly don’t know what I’d do without sketchy. Bugs and drugs would’ve been awful

Super convenient!
I’ve always enjoyed Sketchy, but it’s SO much easier to use it on my phone while I’m out and about !! Really helped on Level 1 for me. Glad it’s more user friendly on the phone now!

Sketchy has been a great resource for me in med school. The fact now there’s an app to take on the go when I’m traveling is perfect or so I can quickly review when I’m at the hospital.
Unusable after update
I’ve been using this app on my iPad and it was amazing before the update. However, after the update it’s become unusable. It’s very laggy. The video controls don’t work, so you can’t even pause or rewind the video. Hopefully they either revert back to the previous version or release another update. Till these bugs are worked out I would not recommend downloading the app on the ipad.
