Some courses may seem redundant and often times as professionals we learn the majority of our skill set on the job, which is an excellent method, however it cannot be understated the importance of having certification which can aid in proving competency. 5 stars is not nearly enough to surmise the excellence of this application and the courses therein.

I’m paying for the app but I don’t have an account with them? I have and account and even payed for it but when I sign in it says user not not find but I’m still getting charged. Need help finding original account or transfer my payment to a new account

Amazing app
Thanks to SkillCat I have been able to obtain a job in the hvac field and I can continue my learning as I go farther into my career. The EPA 608 certification course is the best out there and they keep it affordable.
An Outstanding Learning Platform for Anyone Entering the Skilled Trades
SkillCat has been one of the best educational resources I've found for learning HVAC-R and expanding my knowledge of the skilled trades. As a student in an Energy Management and Controls Technology program, I've used many different training resources, and SkillCat has done an excellent job of presenting complex topics in a way that's easy to understand while still being technically accurate.
What I appreciate most is that the lessons are well organized, engaging, and self-paced. The combination of videos, illustrations, quizzes, and hands-on explanations has helped reinforce concepts that I can apply both in the classroom and in real-world situations. The certifications are an added bonus and demonstrate a commitment to helping students and technicians continue developing their skills.
I also appreciate that SkillCat continues to improve the platform and genuinely asks for student feedback. That says a lot about a company that is invested in creating a better learning experience.
If I could suggest one future enhancement, it would be adding the ability to highlight lessons, bookmark important sections, and take digital notes directly within the app. I think this would make it even easier for students to review material and build a personalized reference guide throughout their training.
Overall, I highly recommend SkillCat to anyone interested in HVAC-R or the skilled trades—whether you're just getting started or looking to expand your knowledge. It has become a valuable part of my education, and I look forward to continuing through the rest of the curriculum.

It’s hard to unsubscribe from them.
Initially, my employer set up the subscription for me; later, when the company stopped paying, I took over the payments myself. Eventually, I realized I didn't need the subscription and decided to cancel it. I was using the web-based desktop version but couldn't easily find the cancellation menu there, so I had to download the app and log in to my account. I started the cancellation process in the app, but it redirected me back to the web interface, where I had to have a link sent to my email to complete the cancellation. It’s outrageous; someone else might fail to navigate all this and simply end up stuck with the subscription forever. I have never encountered such a convoluted cancellation process anywhere else.

Resubscribes without permission
I had to delete the app off phone. I canceled subscription a while back, but recently just opened app and it apparently renewed my subscription just by opening the app without any confirmation message. Was good for some stuff, but if you’re not using it make sure and remove it off your phone to prevent this problem from happening.

Videos glitchy
Love the courses but the video glitchy and sometimes I have to close out of the app to correct it. Not sure if the because I downloaded the latest iOS 26.5.2

Great App But…
Love the app so far but I’m noticing the app loses connection on every final exam I’ve taken so far. It’s slightly annoying to have to keep restarting the app every final exam I take.

The app is terrible. Super slow and always times out with network error. The content is decent but the design is terrible.

Extremely efficient at covering and preparing for the tests. The content is broken down into small segments with quizzes which made retention easy
Trade Schools Beware!
A well and clean app for a multitude of training and necessary certifications. 10$/month or ~96$/year is a great deal for the amount of time saved finding and learning by just trying to search up youtube tutorials or google searches.
