Apps performance improved
The app performance when opening of video attachments is a lot better after the update of version 2.2.9
Keeps crashing!
This app keeps crashing and takes forever to reload. I’m unable to open this app for few hours already this morning 😩
Not user friendly
Great in theory for kids coms but need some fixes
- announcements and messages get sent to my email too and the app is cumbersome to mark messages as read
- messaging function to teachers is delayed and at times the message doesn’t even show
- functions I don’t even use take up space and make the app look over crowded, I only want to see what my child is doing and messages. We use a different payment app
- seems overly complicated for administrators too

Terrible
I would give it a zero if I could. The app doesn’t work. I can’t get any of the school notices. I tried to delete my account and it won’t even let me do that .
I have sent numerous requests to the help desk. No response apart from the auto generated message.

Useless email support
I get send a ridiculous amount of emails from this app, a new email for each and every message and reply in a private chat with a teacher regarding any possible issue. There is no way to unsubscribe, no way to set email preferences, and support could not help in any way, merely suggesting that I use a different email address! Incredibly frustrating app to use, particularly because the app itself already gives me all the messages. The school may as well stop using the app and just send emails - really bad app that could be decent with proper support.

Daily issues with app
Terrible issues with the app every single day, our parents are all complaining- I paid fir the entire year in advance and want to cancel my subscription and get a refund for remaining months left.
A great app and management platform
This is a very good platform to manage students parents and teachers. The Skooly platform is good for all schools tuition centre’s and academies. Especially when fees payment is based on the number to classes the student has attended. Good features and easy communication. Thank you Skooly.
Constant errors
Every time my child moves up into a new class I struggle to get the updates for that class. No clear assistance anywhere and the teachers don’t understand the problem either. Often notifications do not come through unless you open the app
Hanging
The app keeps hanging and message are not going through in real time. I have to uninstall and reinstall almost weekly and then only the messages will come through. Very frustrating.
Barrage of email even phone calls
Didn’t like the app and deleted in after 5-10mins checking through (including taking the time to open an account) Partly is wasn’t fit for my purpose and partly a didn’t like the interface. So I deleted it. However ever since I’ve received my numerous unsolicited emails form skooly customer support asking if they can help with my account, including phones calls! “Excuse me sir can I help you with your new skooly account”, ummmm why am I receiving emails and calls? This has never happened with any app I’ve ever downloaded. Very odd putting, I wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone, it now probably ranks as the single most annoying app I’ve ever downloaded.

Great support
New app that I’m glad to be a part of. There is a lot of potential in this app and perfect for up and coming education businesses. Of course, in due time, the features will improve but like I said, it shows a lot of promise.
Coming into this app, i knew that there will be a couple of glitches but with back up, it is hard to get frustrated as they will try to rectify as soon as they can.
Almost prompt responses from a live support team whenever there were issues within the app, and majority of time, the problems get solved in a timely manner.
Still worth the subscription - and excitedly waiting for more innovative updates!

Notification are not prompt
It’s a good app. Sometimes, The notifications are not prompt.
Need effective two way communication.

Glad there is an application introduced for better communication between students and class admin. Applaud the initiative. Helps parents stay abreast with progress of their child/children.
My experience while trying to navigate the application:
1)Login/ Sign-in requires a passkey every time
-it’s Complicated and difficult to figure out.
2)Communication is best when it’s two ways - I’m unable to simply write a text to the class admin to ask if the class is cancelled or to report my child cannot make it for class.
Only able to view messages from Admin.
3)The application doesn’t allow me to update my child’s birthdate for the profile - time wasted for multiple attempts in trying to figure it out.
My suggestion:
Need a simple but effective application for a sports class. - for e.g. For now Whatsapp works great for quick communication and class updates.
It’s Simple, Efficient & quick.
Maybe this is better suited for a different more complex use case.

Teachers and educators please do not use.
Horrible app. Never get the notifications on time and when I open the app it tells me I have a new notification which is actually an old message or in fact my own message thy I last sent.
Update:
Apparently because it is the free version there are quite a few bugs that the developers won’t be able to address. Just beware and if you are an educator or caregiver that wants to use the app be sure to use the full version so they can track problems and work on them.
