App is dead

I paid almost $100 for the lifetime subscription, yet no updates in over a year. Seems like the app was abandoned. Half of the videos I tried to summarize would fail anyway. Never doing this again.

It seems that this app has been abandoned. Unfortunately, it is no longer functioning. In the past, they would respond to complaints and resolve issues, but that no longer happens.

It can summarize any video for you which we think is clear from the trail. Can you please elaborate what did you expect from the trail and what you were not able to do? We had a monthly sub which has been now discontinued because of not enough users. Please reach out to us via in app support if you want to be notified when we bring it back.

AI Misses the Relevent Content

I tried to capture a couple of videos during my free trial. To my disappointment it did not capture the substantive matter only the irrelevant small talk. For example a 60 minute minute video I captured was about two individuals engaging in a discussion about the Taiwanese political parties in the nuances of the recent presidential election in Taiwan. The app only picked out the small talk and discussion about the broadcasters personal life.

Waste of my time

I tried 20 you tube videos on the trial and not a single one I wanted could be assessed despite the fact they all had cc caps available. Maybe I’m missing the point of this but if it can’t pull closed caps then what is the point of it? Give it a miss.

Re-subscription issue?!?!

I am a user of Skryb Al, the app that generates long-form summaries of any text. I work in a critical care background and this app has been very useful for me. I paid for a yearly subscription months ago and I expected to get the service that I signed up for.
However, I have faced some problems with my subscription. The app started to give me shorter summaries and asked me to subscribe again on both my iPhone and my iPad. I don't know why this happened and I feel like I have not received what I paid for.
I tried to contact the developer of Skryb Al via Twitter, but I got no response. I also checked the Skryb Al subreddit, but there was no information or solution about this issue.
lam not here to complain or accuse anyone. I just want to get some help and clarification. I want to be able to make long form summaries (not short) and maintain my subscription without having to pay for anything again. Is that too much to ask?
Has anyone else experienced this problem? How did you solve it? Is there any way to get a refund or a compensation? Please help me out if you can. Thank you for reading.

The app is not designed to work on multiple devices at the moment. You can use on any one device with your existing subscription. We're working on adding support for multiple devices by adding a user login. We were providing long form summaries but got some overwhelming requests for shortened summaries and hence updated our systems. You are now the second person to request for long form summaries again. We're considering adding an option to choose the type of summary (long or short). Look out for updates in a few weeks time. We're not active on social media. You can always reach for support right from within the app which will open an email to skryb-ai@vaancorp.com with relevant details. Tap the options button on the top left and then tap Feedback or Bug Report.

Works great so far, with valuable summaries

App works great and is easy to use with the beautiful UI. The summary did very well at ignoring the intro and some repetition from a video. Can see this being a daily tool!

Suggestions:

- The Force Touch menu for a generated summary should have Share option, not just delete.

Excellent app, one request

Your app is saving me a lot of time consolidating notes on crypto trading for my private email letter. My one request, so far, please add an option to insert the video URL and the thumbnail image at the top or the bottom of the summary and include image in export. I’m saving to Drafts, is there a better way to export summaries for larger compositions of notes?

An excellent and amazing app! However I would like to see a subscription tier for ten dollars a month that would give 200 hours of video summary available if this is possible and practical for you. Update: thank you for the response Skryb ai! Yes indeed in the future I would really enjoy and would pay for a yearly subscription fee that had like 500 hours of summaries provided or something like that even if 500 hours of summaries is not possible by the time of the update thanks!

We’re also considering an yearly plan with a bigger quota which might suit your needs. Keep an eye out for updates! In my neverending pursuit of knowledge, this app is a boon in offering the user a concise, bulleted recap of info in videos - get to the point - this app makes it easy to do and easy to revisit past summarizations. The best I’ve used yet on a mobile platform. Hope it stays free

Fantastic

I really liked the concept behind a video but I didn’t have 25 minutes to watch it and I was about to go to work so I used this app and I learned a whole bunch within three minutes because of an easy bulletpoint style of organization

This app is very good. I used it to summarise a video and it did an excellent job at doing so. Totally recommend those who don't have time to watch a whole video, just read the summary. Amazing invention. 5 stars.
