The Skydive Designer app is an indispensable tool for any Load Organizer. The app makes planning skydives of all sizes easy and efficient, and the ability to share the formations and slotting with participants as soon as you're ready or changes are made is an invaluable asset.
A MustHave for Skydive organizing
Thank Rob, we have the Skydive Designer these days.
It makes it so easy to design any skydives from 4/8/16 to 200 ways.
It inspires you for new ideas and makes it easy to show the participants what the skydive is about.
You can easily try different ways for a skydive and this helps to get the right solution.
The skydive designer has too many features to name them all here.
The best is too have a look and let somebody explain the first steps or watch the tutorials.
It is very well thought out and functional.
I use the SD for years and can not imagine to work without it.

Skydive Designer is a great tool!
It’s a game changing tool for organizers and participants at Bigway events. It can both empower the organizer to design, engineer, and slot a skydive quickly, and quickly and easily articulate that vision to hundreds of people in seconds.
It’s an essential tool for any serious load organizers. Rather than keeping a library of different sized jumps in your head, build an actual portfolio of well designed jumps for every situation with this tool. Again rather than trying to explain how your crazy skydives work, just show them an animation provided by this tool.
Running out of ideas for skydives?? Go online and search the public repository of skydives designed by others for inspiration and submit your own.
All the features work smoothly, even if a few of them are a bit too advanced for a simple man like myself. Having the app work seamlessly on all apple devices is a huge plus as well.

Hi Maxstil - admittedly this is a bit weird if you're not used to it, but this is how iOS document based apps work. I'm afraid you have to blame Apple for that - they don't let developers customise the experience much. Just click on the 'Create document' button and that will create your first jump 'document'. You can also click on the 'Help' button at the top right of the files view to open up the tutorials which show you this in action.
Old dog and new tricks
Rob sent me an early version of his Skydive Designer app and I was happy to provide some feedback. Gratified that he would ask my opinion, I paid my subscription fee, watched some instructional videos and began to use the app in an elementary fashion. Before long, colleagues began designing, editing and publishing dives without the ‘trial and error’ heartache that characterized my feeble efforts.
Embarrassed by the lack of my technological skills, I caught-up on the new training options and actually learned some of the new options available. What a helpful tool! I am still needing to sort out some of the printing possibilities, but surely that will come with time and practice.

Game changer for anyone who engineers/organizes skydives
I own only one Apple device (don't judge). The only reason I own an ipad is so that I can use Skydive Designer. The Skydive Designer app is the only tool that you'll need to develop and engineer formation skydives - belly, freefly, head up, head down, wingsuit, and CRW. The graphics and animaition greatly reduce the time it takes to prep a dive. Let the app do your talking. Replace "Joe, take a grip on Sally's right leg with your left hand....turn 90°..present your right hand to Billy" with "here's what the formation looks like, find yourself, take grips". Additional features include setting a roster (which you can copy/paste from a file on your device), creating a manifest list for each airplane (that can be printed or sent electronically to manifest!), publish your skydive on the cloud so that you don't have to email it to everyone. The "symmetry" feature lets you create a bigway formation by slotting just a few skydivers rather than all of the skydivers in the formation. Download the app. Play with it. You'll be glad you did.

Awesome Tool
This is an awesome tool that helps every load organizer with designing and planning jumps, and every normal jumper to see the movements in formations. The illustration of the movements of the jumpers is something that has never been seen before. The effect when you can show the jumpers in your group the necessary moves is priceless. There are many options that show how many thoughts have been put into the tool: labeling and coloring of the jumpers, different arm positions, single and multiple jumper selections, and much more. Absolutely great!

Love this app!
I’m loving coming up with skydives when I’m organizing. Newer jumpers can really “see” the formation. Now my house is always a mess and my garden has no flowers or vegetables as all my free time is spent designing skydives :)

I use this tool all the time from smaller formations up to 100 . The symmetry tool makes larger formations easy and fast to create. I really enjoy the plane slotting tool which makes it easy to make sure no slot or person is double slotted. I would recommend this tool to anyone and everyone!

Outstanding jump designer app . You are limited really only by your imagination and it’s great for jumps from two ways up to 100+, and I guess beyond, although I haven’t tried that yet...😃 recommend this app for anyone involved in designing jumps for beginners up to experienced.

Skydive Designer is an amazing app which changes the work of dive organizers, for the better, much better. It is perfect for Formation Skydiving and also Freefly, Wingsuit and CREW formations. Skydive Designer help very easily to create any formation sizes and multi point sequences. It is also a great tool for the slot assignments in aircrafts(s) and in the formation. Skydive Designer got different options to share designs and all the work which have been created with the app. The tutorials included in the app are very clear and short to easily understand how to use all Skydiver Designer tools. The symmetry tool is just amazing. Around a base or the center of any discipline formations, the dive organizer can create a part of the formation he has in mind and the app will duplicate his work from 2 to 10-20 times and more around that base, and perfectly symmetrical. If you are a dive organizer, go for this app! You will design your skydives much faster and Skydive Designer will also help you to increase your creativity.

Such a powerful design tool for bigway skydiving. So much thought has gone into this app. It's well worth the money (and the outlay on an iPad). Recommended.
