About

Skyline Retreat is three acres of quiet land in Southern Ohio. It is not a resort and it is not a campground. It is a place to unplug, think, work remotely, or just sit still for a while. This app is that land in your pocket. Browse the sites, check the sky, find the fishing holes and the small-town kitchens down the road, and book a stay in a few taps. THE CAMPSITES Five hand-picked clearings across the wooded acres, each with its own personality. Aurora's Grove, a private clearing ringed by solar-strung hardwoods. Orion's Pointe, an off-grid pocket where Orion's Belt rises through the trees. Skyline Summit, a wide-open hilltop with rolling views. Recon Ridge, high ground nearly a thousand feet back from the road. Deepwood Den, the most remote site on the property and the only one you hike into. Every site sleeps six. Each one lists what it actually has, what kind of rig fits, and how you get to it. BEFORE YOU DRIVE OUT Live conditions at the property, so you pack for the sky that is actually over the land rather than the one over your house. Five fishing spots within about fifteen miles, with the species you can expect and what your boat can handle. Seven nearby kitchens from five minutes away to about thirty-five, listed hours first, because a closed sign at seven o'clock is what actually ruins a night. A STORY FOR THE FIRE Thirteen original stories from this land, written to be read out loud in the dark. Five storytellers know these woods. A retired ranger who tells you the wrong thing early. A naturalist whose horror is precision. A kid who swears it happened to his cousin's friend. A homesteader who broke this ground in the 1840s and has rules about it. Campers a long way from help, something out there they cannot account for, and someone who walks off and does not come back. Nothing graphic, and nothing explained. Save the ones that land and they stay on your phone. Your phone reads each story and writes the headlines that help you choose one, using Apple Intelligence, entirely on the device. New stories arrive over the air, and every story you already have works with no signal at all. NIGHT MODE One tap shifts the entire app to red light and dims the screen. Red preserves night vision far better than white, which is why headlamps and observatories use it. Turn it on when you step outside and you can still read your phone without losing the dark. YOUR STAY Tell the app which site you booked and when you arrive. You get a countdown, a forecast for your actual dates once you are close enough for one to mean anything, and reminders as the day approaches. Two home screen widgets keep both on your lock screen and home screen. No account. No password. Nothing to sign up for. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IS HERE We are building this retreat slowly and without hype. The app tells you plainly what is available now and what is still coming, and it does not dress up the second one as the first. Bookings are handled on HipCamp, which is where our reservations actually live. If you value space, stillness, and watching something grow, you are in the right place. Skyline Retreat Ohio. Intentionally evolving.
