A very convenient way to update my SkyLog Pro logbook
I've been using SkyLog Pro for a little while now, but have only just got round to purchasing the app, and I'm finding it a great way to enter my logbook data. I can now enter data using my iPhone whenever it's convenient, and then sync it with the SkyLog Pro software on my laptop at a later time, rather than having to wait until I've got access to my laptop before I can upodate my logbook. The initial syncing process initially seeemed a little involved for someone like me without particularly strong IT skills, but by following the instructions in the FAQs on the SkyLog Pro website I was able to achieve this without too much difficulty, although it was necesary to reconfigure some of the settings in my laptop firewall software as described in the FAQs, but again the instructions guided me through this process. Keeping my logbook up to date shpudl be much easier now!

None of the buttons 'sync' 'copy' 'calc' etc seem to have any functionality in the latest update.
Crashes on opening since update!
The inclusion of the day/night time automatic calculation would be a definite improvement. Not sure why this is missing as a feature since the almanacs could be downloaded or automatically update on opening the program with a data connection. Please make the iPad/iPhone app identical to the PC version in this respect.

Skylog need to catch up
Well it would seem the waiting for an iPad version is over! Shame then as the previous reviewers have said....what a waste, it crashes immediately on opening the app.....LogTen here I come.

Excellent
Have been using Skylog for a long time now this app is very good and good back up only a quick call away. Saves me a rake of time so very pleased.
Skylog iPhone app
Have been using the iPhone app since it was updated at the end of 2010 with no issues. It works fine for me - have not had any of the wireless connection problems - and is much improved on the initial version. Just waiting for the next upgrade where I can import my roster and log RNAV and MLS approaches.

Still waiting for the update!....
Come on guys...we've been promised an update for months now! Currently I cannot recommend this product, this should have been provided for free until it was working properly and fully functional. I was better off with the old Pocket PC version (which was free!) There is no reporting functionality yet and I too always have problems syncing with my PC.

Not great
Temperamental. Sync frequently fails with the PC and records arbitrarily are removed from the phone. Want to know your total hours? Not a chance!
A move to Pilot Pal beckons, although I feel hard done by having wasted so much on this.

Good, but...
...I'm still waiting for the full version to be released as a free upgrade. It was promised for Q1 of 2010 of this year but hasn't appeared yet. I bought the app a few months ago in good faith and am dissapointed by the delay. The full version, if it's to the usual Skylog high standard, will be worth the money, sadly, I feel this part release isn't.

Doesn't work
Do not buy this app if you don't have Pro 6.09. Software is very tempramental and will only work occasionally for me.
Help has been poor with no real assistance provided.

Does what it says on the tin. Developer very good in responding to some queries I had regarding the app.
Happy
Works as it should and makes life easier. Bit expensive since already spent £60 or so on the PC version but generally happy.
