About
Hold your phone up to the night sky: Skylore shows the sky above you, live, and names every star, planet and constellation.
POINT AND KNOW
• The map turns wherever you point your phone, over the live camera picture if you like.
• Tap a star for its name, distance, colour, brightness and story.
• Search for Saturn, Vega or the Andromeda Galaxy and see where it is, even below the horizon.
A REAL SKY
• 2 million real stars; the faint ones appear as you zoom in.
• 600 nebulae, star clusters and galaxies, each with its own drawing.
• A hand-made Milky Way with its star clouds and dust lanes.
• Saturn's rings, Jupiter's moons, the face of Mars and the craters of the Moon, as they are tonight.
CONSTELLATIONS AND THEIR MYTHS
• 88 constellations with their mythological figures drawn in gold.
• Orion, Scorpius, Cygnus, Andromeda… and the stories behind them.
WHAT'S UP TONIGHT?
• Sunset, the hours of full darkness and the phase of the Moon.
• The night's finest sights, eclipses, meteor showers and the chance of an aurora.
• Visible passes of the International Space Station; add a reminder to your calendar.
EXPLORE

• Time machine: travel thousands of years back or ahead and watch the pole star change.
• The invisible sky: see the Milky Way in infrared, radio, X-rays and gamma rays.
• A sky card of the night you were born, a guided sky tour, a constellation game and badges.
• Fly the space shuttle to the planets.

Location and camera permissions are asked in your language too. • Much smoother: Moving and zooming around the sky is now much smoother. • A deeper sky: As you zoom in, you leave the Milky Way's haze behind and see the stars more clearly against a dark sky. • Background music: Calm background music on the main screen. If you'd rather not have it, turn it off in Settings.
