What does SlabKit do?
SlabKit calculates rebar grid takeoffs, wire mesh sheet counts, and concrete volume for any slab, footing, column, or sonotube — all offline on your iPhone. Built for residential concrete contractors, framers, masons, and DIY pours.
Is my data private?
100% offline. Nothing leaves your iPhone. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no third-party tracking.
How do I get started?
1. Open a tab: Slab, Mesh, or Concrete
2. Enter your dimensions in imperial or metric
3. Read the takeoff and save the project or export a PDF
What can I do with it?
- Lay out a rebar grid on any rectangular slab and get bar count, total linear length, weight, and number of standard-length sticks required (including lap overlap)
- Configure bar size, on-center spacing, edge clearance, and lap multiplier per local code
- Estimate sheets of welded wire fabric (WWF) or rolls with adjustable overlap
- Compute concrete volume for slabs, strip and pad footings, square columns, and cylindrical tubes
- Count 40, 50, 60, and 80 lb (or 25 kg) bags of concrete mix for fast-setting pours
- Add a waste factor and round up automatically
- Save unlimited projects with custom names
- Export takeoff sheets as PDF for the jobsite or the supplier
- Switch between imperial (#3-#8 bar, ft/in, cubic yards, lb) and metric (8-32mm bar, m/mm, cubic meters, kg)
What standards does it cover?
Rebar sizes follow ASTM A615 (US) and BS 4449 / EN 10080 (metric). Concrete volumes use standard geometric formulas with an adjustable waste factor. Estimates are for planning — always confirm with your structural engineer or local building official.
What languages does it support?
English, German, French, Spanish, and Japanese.
How much does it cost?
3-day free trial, then $1.99/week, $4.99/month, $29.99/year, or $79.99 lifetime.
