SlabScout: Pre-Grade Cards

SlabScout answers one question about a trading card: is it worth paying to have it graded? Photograph a card. SlabScout reads what it is, files it into your collection, prices it against the sold comps you enter, measures its centering from the pixels of your own photo, and tells you in dollars what you stand to gain or lose by sending it in. WHAT IT DOES - Reads the card: category, player, set, year, card number and variant. - Files it automatically into Category and Player folders with live counts and totals. - Runs the value gate: your raw, 9 and 10 sold comps against grading and shipping costs. The result is a dollar figure, not a vibe. - Measures centering from your own photo against the 60/40 line. - Gives cards that clear the bar a closer condition pass. - Handles a shoebox: bulk intake queues a stack of fronts and works through them. WHAT IT WILL NOT DO - It will not invent a price. Until you enter sold comps for a card, it says "needs pricing" instead of guessing. - It will not pretend to grade a card that is already slabbed. A sealed, certified card has its answer printed on the label, so SlabScout prices it and leaves it alone. - It will not report centering it does not trust. Photograph a card through a sleeve or a one-touch holder and it tells you the reading is about the plastic, not the card. NO ACCOUNT There is no sign-up, no password and no email address. Your collection is tied to an identifier generated on your device. Settings has an Erase everything button that deletes your photos and data for good. SlabScout is a triage tool. It tells you which cards deserve a submission slot. It does not predict grades and it guarantees nothing. A grader's eye is final.
