It used to work so well!

I use this app exclusively on mobile. I’ve experienced really long lags when searching for a title. I can search for the book but when it pulls up and I click on the “show editions” and click on the book option, it just keep trying to load the link where I can reserve the book but instead keeps doing the spinning search/loading thing.

I also use the SL County library app and it doesn’t have this problem despite likely using similar or same developers and library resources. I think 1-2 years ago both apps underwent a redesign and the County library app had the same experiences I’m getting now but with the City library app. Please figure out what’s going on. I love the library!!

App Hasn’t Worked for 6 months +

Like the other reviews, when you search for a title it just says checking. It never loads. SLC spends money in many places, this is a place that it should. Please fix the app. It is not usable.

Not good

When you search for a book it’ll pop up but then it’ll just say “checking” forever and if you click on it the page will never load.

“Checking…”

It’s ok but lately I search for a book and the app says “checking…” for each category: ebook, book, audiobook, but never loads. Then when I click on “book,” it doesn’t load the page. I’ve tried this multiple times in various locations so I don’t think it’s my WiFi. I end up having to use a browser like chrome to actually see if the book is available. PLEASE FIX THIS, if possible.

Update is a huge downgrade.

Since the update this app is useless for searching the database, I would suggest using the website, but that’s been updated and it’s useless also.

No catalogue function for me

Since the update, I can access the home page and everything about my account just fine, but if I try to search the catalogue it just looks like it’s “searching” for a looong time and then I just give up… not sure if this is a problem for anyone else but it’s definitely frustrating

Mostly good

I really like this for the most part. It will tell me I have renewals remaining, and I’ll go to renew, but I can’t. I guess I can renew before it’s due, I didn’t know that. Now I’ll check earlier to see if it’s renewable or not. So, I had to drive in our snowstorm to get my book back on time. Recently they’ve just been renewing automatically.

URGHHH

I hate this app. Doesn’t keep me logged in so I have to re-login every time I want to check on something. I hate that I can’t cancel holds on this app. I hate that it doesn’t give due dates. Not user friendly at all. You might as well go into a library and do everything the “old fashioned way” with how in helpful this app is.

Fine overall, but could use some adjustments

I wish there was a way to get holds that have been filled or cancelled, out of the holds list. I don’t care about that book I picked up 3 months ago, and I don’t want to have to scroll past it every time I check the status of current holds.

Doesn’t remember my library card number

The app does not save my library card number for easy login. In the past I used the app to request holds, but I don’t have my card number memorized and I don’t know how to get the app to save it.

No due dates

How does this app do me any good if it does not say when my books are due back or how late they are? It also doesn't even tell me WHICH items are overdue (if any). I'm seeing things missing and I'd rather have those capabilities back or this app is of no value to me.
