About

Sliding Doors was created with queer and sapphic community in mind. It’s a place for real stories, missed encounters, and meaningful moments that deserved another chance. Everyone is welcome, but the app centers queer experiences and real-life connection. Have you ever locked eyes with someone at a café, lesbian bar, concert, bookstore, grocery store, Pride event, or on the train... and then never saw them again? Sliding Doors helps those missed moments find their way back. Post a story about a real-life encounter, browse nearby moments, and reconnect with people you might otherwise never see again. No swiping. No polished dating profiles. No pressure. Just real moments between real people. How it works Share a moment Post a short story about an encounter that stuck with you. Browse nearby posts See moments shared by people around you. Reconnect privately If someone recognizes the moment, you can start a conversation through the app. Built for thoughtful connections • location-based discovery • private messaging • community moderation tools • designed around real-life encounters • no endless swiping or follower culture Sliding Doors is for the moments that stay with you after you walk away. A note about safety Our community tools help keep interactions respectful. • reporting tools • user moderation • privacy-first design Sliding Doors is an independent project built to help real moments find their way back to each other.
