Cannot get signed in using phone number

I continue to get an error once entering all of my information. The app is supposed to send me a verification code by phone. It doesn’t, instead it pops up an error.

Alternative to Facebook login please.

I really want to try this app, but the only way to register or log in is via Facebook. And I’m sorry, in this age of FB privacy fails, there is NO WAY any app should use Facebook ONLY as a means of logging in. When Slindir offers a discreet means of registering and logging in, I will be more than willing to give it a try.
