Unfortunate…

I’ve titled this review “unfortunate” since I’ve not been able to use the app at all.

After signing up and confirming my email, the next screen I got was a black screen with the following:

——————————-
|
|
| (graphic)
| Something went wrong
| (button) -> “Contact Support”

The button seems to be. Doing nothing at all. So I will look here for some contact info… otherwise I will move on.

Useless app. It opens, but doesn’t function.

App needs some love to support mobile teams

Mobile app has some problematic tech debt. Embedding a question in a doc makes the entire page not load, and AI slash commands have not been integrated (less important)

Hoping this is fixed in an update soon.

I find it extremely irritating and annoying

That Site won’t let you customize your site url. Seriously, it’s a deal breaker for me. Pathetic!!

Strong Complement to Desktop

This app has made significant progress since it’s debut for mobile and tablets. An offline mode for premium users would be a very compelling feature. Tablet based table/smart table editing would be useful. The ability to highlight text and create links from tablet and mobile would be very useful.

Response from developer

Thanks a lot for your feedback ! We are glad you enjoy the experience ! Offline is something we are thinking about for a while, unfortunately we haven't manage to bring it on a short term road map yet.. (but I can't wait either !) Collection editing is already available and we are planning to unlock it on Smart Table soon too ! I'll add the "highlight text and create links" to our request list to be prioritised ! It would definitely be an interesting add. Don't hesitate to reach to our Intercom if you have more requests or feedbacks !

Steadily getting better

Love the app. The development path is good and most issues that were previously problems have been fixed. Easy to use. Nice to look at. And the channel-based concept sits nicely alongside our teams Slack channels. Really needs an offline mode, though 😜

the best tool for process documentation

slite has made it easy, fast, and *rewarding * to document & distribute our processes. i love the intuitive writing tools, the folder organisation on the left tab, and the sleek way everything is presented.

process documentation used to be a pain in the ass for me and now i’m really enjoying it.

because of slite...

- my team gets higher quality process docs
- our on boarding process is faster
- quality work is more consistent
- i’m scaling my company while staying organised

highly recommend for any agency, especially if you’re coordinating remote teams ✨

Great idea, but...

I love Slite’s design and the app has some really useful ideas, but it never let’s me actually use any templates in-app. Pretty disappointing, in that sense.

Slow to load, mobile features missing

I’ve been looking for a main note taking app and I really wanted to like this app because the design is clean and aesthetically pleasing compared to Notion, but after trying it out I uninstalled it. Your notes are a little slow to load. Plus you can’t edit smart tables from your phone (this can only be done on a desktop version).

Hopefully I can try this app out again sometime in the future when they rollout improvements.

You can’t use it offline

So disappointing to find you have to be constantly online to use this app. It makes it laggy and slow. Why can’t i just write on my iPad, it would be so much better.

Unfortunately this means I will not be using the app.

Good start for a life wiki, better than notion

I wanted a personal wiki and I’ve been using notion. Long story short this is much better! Loving it so far.

there’s some obvious shortcomings on mobile - can’t add table, code block, menu nav is sometimes lacking. Most painful is I can’t page lock.

Big pros compared to notion are performance, look and feel, and general UI/UX is much nicer. It’s more suited for a life wiki, if that’s anyone’s single goal. I look forward to further development of this and I’m now looking into the premium plans. Please keep it up guys 👍

Still work to be done

Slite is a good service, and we’re using it as we grow our company. I love the web and desktop interface, but the mobile app is pretty much useless - it’s buggy and lacks all of the features I need to create a wiki. Additionally, the mobile application doesn’t scale in visuals or features for iPad, which is my primary computing tool.

Slite needs to focus on their user experience before we become paying customers.

Latest update bricked the app

Can’t load on iPhone 7

Terrible iPAD Experience

I like the idea of Slite and will use it for our documentation etc, however the iOS experience is terrible.

I hope it eventually ends up like the SLACK client for iOS.

Great “slack lite” !

It’s slack without the chat and it’s great for focusing on shared documents.

Will the mobile app support switching between multiple teams using email account for sign in (instead of Google or Slack authentication)?

The Slack app can do this, but to do it on Slite requires full sign out/sign in to switch to a different team site. Unless I’m missing something...

Great start

Love this app! There's some discrepancies with text formatting between mobile and desktop, though. For example, desktop doesn't have strikethrough, and mobile doesn't have highlights.

Hard to type

I like the Slite desktop application, but the mobile app is lacking. There’s no autocorrect, and basic keyboard functionality is weird so it’s hard to write notes.

Excellent notes app

Such a simple notes app that has all you need but not cluttered. I used to use Evernote by have moved everything over to Slite and couldn’t be happier. So glad the mobile app is available now!
