What's New in SlowGo

1.6

November 4, 2026

What was broken, and is fixed in 1.6: • On a route that doubles back on itself, the cart could slide backwards and the ridden part of the line showed the wrong stretch. Your progress now only moves forward. • With CarPlay, arriving could say "You have arrived" twice and freeze the car screen. Arrival now happens once. • A quick link could offer a place a cart can't reach, like a shop inside a highway service plaza. Quick links now offer only places a cart route gets to. • Where'd I park? dropped the pin the moment you arrived, even if you rolled on to a parking spot. Now the pin drops where the cart stops, once you walk away from it or CarPlay turns off. • On a cart mount, the ride screen could flip sideways on a bump. It now stays upright, and a rotate button turns it sideways when you want. • Roundabout directions were read out garbled. • Where the route runs beside a road, your cart could be drawn on the road. It now stays on the route line and glides along it. • After a wrong turn, the voice could repeat "finding a new path." It says it once now. • At the largest text size, the place name on the route preview shrank. Now it grows. • Sideways, the voice button was cut off. New in 1.6: • In The Villages: a "The Villages" button on the home map opens 283 places in groups: town squares, rec centers, pools, golf and country clubs, sports, venues, parks and trails, shopping plazas, health, post offices and libraries, visitor spots and farmers markets. Search the list, then tap a place to go. Each town square has a "Tonight" link to its official calendar. • A bigger map while you ride: it fills the screen, with the next turn on top. • Route choices have plain names, Cart paths or Backroads, with a picture for each. • Times now say "about." After two rides, SlowGo learns your own door-to-door pace, or set it yourself in Settings > My usual pace (15 to 20 mph). • Add a stop is easier: search for a place, pick one of your favorites nearby, or choose from places along your route, ranked by the time each one adds. • A route with a stop shows each leg in its own green, and the key says which is the next stop and which is your destination. • Turn distances under half a mile read in hundredths (0.24 mi). • If Precise Location is off, the home screen says so, with a button to Settings. • The search bar says "Where to?", and your rides are named by time of day, like "Lunch ride to Brownwood."

Safety Meets Sensational

This app is a game changer for anyone who is looking to navigate safely, especially on vacation! It gave us a safe route to get ice cream and go to the grocery store. Easy enough for anyone to use, no matter their age!

5 Stars

Downloaded SlowGo expecting a fairly normal experience. Instead, it has completely changed the trajectory of my life.

Before SlowGo I had a job, friends, hobbies, and a healthy relationship with my family. Now I wake up every morning with one objective: SlowGo

The app itself is genuinely well designed, easy to use, and somehow more addictive than it has any right to be. My screen time is up 46%, my productivity is down substantially, and my family has started asking questions.

Five stars. Great app. Would recommend to anyone except people with responsibilities.
