Very hard and confusing to use. Scale hardly works, and the app just wants to sell you things.

So frustrating

Every time I try to use one of the coffee profilers I have to log in. I also noticed in my many sign-ins that there is no “Forgot password” link. Shouldn’t be this hard to use an app.

Really bad app. Useless.

I like the scale, but I think I am paying more for this scale because the app. However the app doesn’t work. Can’t scan the food. I am returning it back to Amazon.

Disappointed with Talking Scale Feature

I was so excited to find a scale, with an app that had a talking audible feature. The talking user interface works, but the weighing of food items is useless. I've set the weight measurement correctly, the scale is fully charged, but when I go to weigh something, it just jumps around and then states that the food item is over the weight limit. Useless scale for me, as well as a waste of money. Now, I'll need to go back to searching for a more reliable tool.

Hi, There are two covers on the Smart Chef Scale: a larger one covering the entire scale and a smaller one covering the weighing platform. Please make sure that you remove the smaller cover to prevent reading issues. Also we have two models: 500g and 3000g capacity. You may have purchased the 500g model with 0.01g precision. Manual for developing a horrible APP

I tried really hard to learn how to use this incredibly bad app. Stating with the interface, and going through the various sub apps, it was one misery after another. Not intuitive at all, and the developers apparently do not believe in what everyone knows as the KISS (Keep it Simple, Stupid!) principle. In the end I found the SCALE only sub app, and that, even poorly designed and not providing a link to other apps that need the weight and units. The reason for looking for a Bluetooth scale is to make this information easily used.
Maybe the developers will concentrate on this SCALE ONLY app and add the links to other better developed calorie counting apps. I can only hope!
By the way the little Reflex 3,000 gym scale is great!

Omg! Never seen a so bad app

Where to begin. Barcode reading is not working. It scans the barcode, screen flickers and goes blank, if it is not crashing wish it does periodically on almost any feature. Added 30g of kirklands almonds and it shows -1900 calories. Updating the weigh only works if the scale is turned off. Forget to try correcting after the meal is created. The app will just crash. If you add a meal to the diary, then its there to stay so dont accidentally add it twice. I read other reviews about how bad the app is, but never thought it would be this bad. Going to try support to make sure i am not doing anything wrong, but with so many issues i dont think it is worth the effort. If i could give negative stars i would.

Please update the app to the latest version. There were app few app crashes in the background causing the barcode scan to be slow in the Food Diary in-app. As for the nutrition calculation, so far we have not been able to reproduce the issue. Please email us at service@smartchef.me or chat with us using the chat widget at smartchef.me or within the Smart chef app with screen capture showing which food that you selected in the database. We can fix it quickly for you. The app is constantly being revised to meet current user requirements. If you contact us and share your thoughts with us, we can make the app better for you. Updates broke coffee brewing app

The most recent updates have broken the coffee brewing app on my iPhone 8. The text on the timer is all crunched together and un readable.

Update: Version 8.0.9 with the SmartCafe UI fix has been approved by Apple and will be available for download in a few hours. App is getting better :)

It does feel like it never going to be fixed.Im getting use to track everything from Apple Heath sadly it’s not that convenient and purchased unlimited entranceon app and it’s not working,no refund yet we’re promised week ago...Still have hope developer get things together and it start work properly but now I would switch if I had better alternative.

Nothing were fixed,app still have luck of showing food diary.Im so impressed how long it take to fix such a small things when they know what the issue is.No words about refund or any kind of solution with function that I purchased but it doesn’t work too.
Update 7/14/19
It’s been few months since I requested to fix bug with food diary and finally guys could figure it out,it’s been few weeks and no issues on this side but there is other little bugs that they try to work it out.Still way to go but it better than anything on market.

Great System and Customer Service

I have been using the Smart Chef app and scale for about a month now. In a house full of powerlifters and bodybuilders, I can appreciate that the app and scale allow me to track my intake in terms of not only calories, but the nutritional content of foods as well. The app and scale not only track macros, they also provide essential information about other micro nutrients. The app and scale are unique among App Store offerings in this regard. Being able build and store recipes makes it convenient to access the nutritional content of those receipts every time I consume them. And all of the information captured by the app is seamlessly copied into my Apple Health app. Finally, every time I have had a question or issue about the app and scale, customer service has been incredibly responsive; they either correct the issue within 24 hours or they explain to me how to access and use the features I’m asking about. I highly recommend this app and scale!

Thank you for your feedback. Camera access will be optional starting next version. Camera access is for food barcode scanning or taking photos for your recipe food. If you do not need these functions, you will be able to skip this permission starting the next update.

The bug is gone!

I bought the scale to use with Weight Watchers. At first it didn’t work with the apps as expected - I contacted them and they quickly replied! They were working out the problem and let me know every time they changed something. Today they let me know it was working. And indeed it is. Very responsive to this customer and I am impressed with the developers, the scale, and app. Making a point to rate it.

I love this solution! Dev team works 24/7 in order to deliver app full of features.
Quick weight, log later function is brilliant!

Smart Chef and MFP helped me reduce my weight more than 20kg in 23 weeks!!!! Thanks for amazing job which creates amazing products!

Never ever go for in-app purchase, you will ruin it. Keep it simple!
