Itemized receipt scanner with Excel output

This is the only app I can find that does what I needed and actually works properly. This receipt scanner app will take a picture of a receipt, then output an excel file that contains each item with (mostly) correct and logical layout - each item on its own row and cost in it's own column.

The output isn't perfect, and the main two things it messes up for me are produce cost (where my store at least lists the per-item or per-pound cost as a separate line) and savings (which also gets its own line). For my purpose (comparing costs of specific grocery items across different stores) this means some extra manual work to get the useful prices and trim rows that aren't actually items.

My main complaint outside those understandable limitations: the app does not offer any functionality for free, not even scanning a single test receipt. I took a gamble on buying credits before feeling confident it would even work for my use case. I would recommend that the developer offer a way to scan a very limited number of items for free, perhaps without allowing copy/export, just so people can be sure it'll work for them before paying. I don't know what recurring costs are involved with the app, but assuming scanning happens locally and is free for the dev, you could even allow free scanning in general and just paywall the export features.
